It’s that time of the weekend that my kids and I head out to explore a new place to eat. This time we checked out M&D Pancake on Yadkin Road. We walk into this cozy place and was greeted and told to sit wherever we wanted to sit. In less than a minute someone greeted us and handed us menus. We looked on the menus and heard that the home fries and the French toast were good. I got the steak omelette with white cheese, home fries, rye toast, and a side of gravy. My son got the 2 pork chops, home fries, eggs and toast. My daughter got pancakes, home fries, and bacon. We also ordered an order of French toast which came with 6 pieces and was topped with powdered sugar. Our food took about 10-15 minutes to come out. My home fries were on the overcooked side but they quickly made me a fresh batch when I told them that mine were burnt. The steak omelette was good. Portion size was just right and there was ample amount of steak in it. I did enjoy the rye toast as it is not something I get often. The gravy was good, and I’m pretty picky when it comes to gravy. The French toast was ok, a little too much cinnamon for me but if you like cinnamon, as my son does, it was delicious. My daughter didn’t say much about the pancakes but she did eat some of my home fries too as it was well seasoned. Everything was well seasoned and didn’t need to add salt or pepper to anything. Prices weren’t outrageous. Funny how this is our first time eating here considering we have lived in the Fayetteville area for 11 years now. Definitely a place worth checking out.

First time visiting this spot. We were greeted upon arrival. Our waitress was nice and attentive. It's a old vibe going on but plenty of seating. It was also freezing inside bad combo with it being rainy and cold outside. One of the waitress was doing a lot, maybe that's just her vibe but she was being mad extra while helping our waitress out. The sweet tea wasn't sweet. The food was ok. Not a fan of the pancake batter & this may sound weird but the eggs tasted like an egg shell... don't know what that was about... but I added salt to it I stuffed it down cause I didn't want to waste no food and I didn't want to eat the left overs. My bacon was mad salty. The hash brown was the best part of the meal. My husband had a omelette with a bunch of raw veggies in like they weren't even cooked. Prices are reasonable. If you're looking for something fast... service was very fast and want to sit down somewhere then yeah ok but not my after church breakfast place vibes. I wouldn't return.

When you think of American diners, you imagine warm and welcoming wait staff. I guess I watch too much TV. The young lady who took our order and then disappeared made us feel like she would have rather been somewhere else. Never a smile, and she appeared to be bothered when I asked to kindly clean the table before we sat down. But, the food was great! Definitely the best Western omelet I have ever had. The veggies were cooked on the griddle before being added to the omelet, which gave them an umami flavor you don't usually get in an omelet. So, if you want a great breakfast, and do not mind the truck stop service, this is your spot! I went back for more omelet! They are so good.

This was my family’s first time entering this breakfast spot. I will admit we enter during high volume and busy hours. We were seated immediately and the waitress did acknowledge us the first couple of times. Stating once we was seated that she would be with us in a few. Ok cool. We understand it’s busy you are running around trying to fulfill customers needs. Once seated we never received a full menu im understanding we felt like maybe their menus are all being used we wait patiently. The thing that got me she kept walking pass us to fulfill the table right behind us still we have no menus not even drink order fulfilled finally I had to stop her down to ask her can we go ahead to get our drinks she looks at us and says we don’t have no soda and walks aways with our still taking our drink order all this to say then another waiter finally comes and ask what we would like at this point I’m told her we are leaving all this to say we were very understanding of the high demand of busy they were but the tone and energy of the waitress is what made us leave and I really wanted to...

I recently ate at this place and had placed an order for breakfast. After I placed my order, I noticed a man get up from a table, had a napkin that he spit into and also blew his nose. He went behind the counter where the food and drink fountain is and proceeded to get a cup and get a drink from the fountain and take a sip from his cup. He then went into the back where the kitchen is and came back out seconds later. He then proceeded to exit the restaurant and go into the parking lot. I called the waitress over to express my concern. I asked that if he was an employee and she stated that he was her father. I proceeded to express my concern about what I had witness. The waitress also stated that her mother was also outside and they both were speaking to each other. The waitress stated that she would mention my concern to her mother because they were both owners. When the mother came in I was paying for my food and the waitress mentioned my concern to her mother in a hushed voice. I would not go back there and it seems as if anyone has taken food...
