Not a fan of this theater and not sure I'll bother going back. We prepurchased our tickets in order to bypass the lines and still got there over half an hour early for that night's showing of Labyrinth. We still had to wait in line to get our tickets from a Fandango kiosk, a line that went out the door because only one of the two kiosks was working and people were also using them to purchase tickets.
Why purchase tickets at the Fandango kiosk an pay extra rather than getting them from the theater itself? Because someone thought it was a good idea to create a single line for both ticket sales and concessions. On top of that, almost half of those people were dedicated to the AMC Premium Members, a third line so long that a lot of people got in it and didn't see the sign saying Premium only for a good 5 minutes. All three of these lines went beyond any sort of queuing and just merged into a huge crowd at the door without a single employee bothering to sort them out. It was a mess.
Once we got our seats I went back to brave the concession line. I got to do double line waiting because I had prebought my tickets, so now I was in another line to buy tickets because it was merged with the concession line as I said before. The employees were very nice and as fast as they could be, but there weren't enough of them. This is a classic understaffing to save on payroll hours and it was impacting customers like you wouldn't believe.
Once I got through that line, after being given my empty cups, I was in yet another line to self serve my drinks. And guess what? Of the two soda machines, only one had ice! Thank God I didn't buy popcorn, because they just give you a bucket and make you go around the corner to the other side of the lobby to stand in yet another line.
The movie was great, it was Labyrinth after all, and the staff were courteous and the theater clean. I missed half of the screening of The Storyteller before the movie, though, because I was waiting in a line for tickets after already waiting in a line for tickets to get tickets I had already bought and printed out myself.
Do your customers and especially your staff a favor and bump up your payroll hours. Find a way to keep your lines from turning into a mosh pit. Break up your concession line and ticket line. Learn to have the ticket taker scan tickets printed at home or on our phone like Fandango said you would instead of making yet another line to use a kiosk that might or might not work.
Oh, and I won't even get into your skeevy pricing on concessions... making it sound like a combo is $6 but the fine print says you can get a drink with it for $6 on top of the $13 the combo costs. You'll fool someone once, but they'll resent you for it. Nevermind, I did just go into the skeevy pricing. People already know they're going to pay the same amount as a dinner at Red Lobster for a couple things of roller rink nachos and drinks. Stop trying to...

I used to work at an AMC for years so I always look forward to visiting a familiar and home style place. The theater is clean and spacious. The seats are a little outdated compared to other AMCs Iāve visited, and not tall-people friendly, without the recliners. But it truly is a pleasant theater.
But today⦠today Iām leaving this review because of the TERRIBLE customer service I experienced. I have visited this theatre twice while visiting Fayetteville in the last week. I visited Fayetteville 14 AMC Theatres at 9:45 PM in Theater 7, seats G13-14. While watching the film, I realized the ambient lights were left on and it was impacting how I was seeing the screen. When I requested the General Manager, Glen or Glenn presented himself as one. I told him that the lights were on in the theater during the film and I was struggling to see the screen, he was sure there was nothing nothing to be done and that it was on the ālowest setting possibleā.
As prior mentioned, I worked at AMC for years and am well aware that the cinema can go completely dark during films. So I informed him that I had just visited the cinema a few days prior and I didnāt have the same problem, he said itās possible that the lights needed reprogramming- right after he said it was impossible to decrease the setting.
He addressed me like I was incompetent and looked over my concerns like it was nothing. He was cold and dismissive to me and other Black couples but not at all towards his Caucasian employees or guests. His disposition was exclusive to POC, and I know because I stayed around to watch and see how he exchanged with the following POC guests compared to non-POC.
It made the experience very unpleasant. The worst part is that I truly struggled to see the screen throughout the film, furthermore messing up my movie viewing experience.
Iām hard at hearing. I know they offer subtitles but I didnāt want to take the experience away from anybody less-able than me. But because of the lighting, I couldnāt read the lips of the actors on the screen and it really robbed me of a good time.
Upon leaving the theater, I requested clarification of the spelling of the GMās name Glen, and the team member told me his was neither a GM nor a Supervisor, so he lied to me and dismissed me for no reason and without the authority to do so.
My last visit here I dealt with a dismissive team memberā a young lady who was working fried foods. I canāt stand poor customer service at all.
I attached an image of the lighting during...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreout of the two main amc theatres in fayetteville, i rarely go to this one. and now i know why!
the employees were rude to each other and the customers. the man taking the tickets had an attitude with my party. we did have to step out of line and visit guest services to fix some problem we had with one of the tickets, so that could be why. but even then, his attitude almost caused us to leave the place entirely. the lady was VERY nice at guest services, though! probably the only nice one. i wish i got her name to give her a proper shoutout.
at some point, i noticed two employees cleaning the hall way, and one just started yelling at the other in front of a bunch of people? i work customer service, so even when im overwhelmed or upset at work, it is my number one priority to make sure i dont lose my cool in front of the customers. clearly, this establishment feels as if that's okay, as we saw that AND had the negative experience with the ticket taker. just strange behavior all around being allowed.
the consession line was WAY too long and moving at a snail's pace so i skipped it entirely. even after arriving 20 minutes early to out showing, i knew that line was going to make us show up to our seats late.
after dealing with the ticket, the man told us that there was a bit of a wait due to them cleaning our theatre. we waited outisde for 15 mins. turns out the doors were open and there were people already seated for the movie the ENTIRE time. i think the staff has an overall communication problem amongst themselves that needs to be resolved sooner than later.
the theatre was... okay. the seats were not comfortable and my legs hurt the entire time due to not being able to properly stretch out. no heated or reclining, but it seems they go for quantity over quality with their theatre. it was also very cold, which is usual at most theaters ive been at, but it was unbearable here. the movie was nice, though! sound and visual was very solid, no complaints there.
the only other positive note i have is that even though it was extremely busy, the place was very clean. not a lot of mess in the lobby, and no messes in the hallway or our theatre.
overall though, i would reccommend marketfair 15. the staff there is very chill and extremely sweet. the lines arent crazy, even on a busy day. and they move rather quickly. they also have heated reclining seats that are a thousand times more comfortable. id much rather wait to go there on a different day than try to see a movie at the patriot if there no other options...
