The one star is based on the experience w/ Mayso on 08/29/2024. He has snapped my head off previously when I called immediately after placing a DoorDash order. He snapped at me that I needed to call before I place an order!
I didn’t say anything and I just let it go because I understand that people have bad days. I order maybe once every two weeks and I usually don’t have any issues.
However on 08/29/2024 I placed an order via DoorDash for a pizza from Marcos. I wanted to get double chicken, but you can’t do that through the DoorDash app.
I call immediately and I recognize his voice. I explain that you can’t do double chicken on the DoorDash app. I explain that I simply want double chicken, not steak and chicken. There’s a long pause, so I ask “can I do that?” He replies with a hasty “yes.” I’m thinking that man is still having a bad day.
The pizza comes it’s double steak and no chicken. I call Marcos and I explain to the lady who is very nice. She says they can remake it, but I would need to come today. I explain that I’m working that’s why I ordered a pizza to share.
She kindly explained after checking with mgmt that I would have to come on the same day. Then she says call before you come so we can have your order ready. I later call before going up there and he answers to tell me he’ll take my order when I get there.
I arrive and I explain what happened. I show him the pizza that I received. I try to tell him a white chicken pizza with Roma and Parma on the crust. He says “I got it” and says it’ll be 10 minutes. He proceeds to go prepare the pizza.
I go to sit at a table. 3-4 minutes later he comes back to tell that I need to go stand outside because my fragrance is too strong. I’ve never been told that ever. I had sprayed Milk - a Bath & Bodywork’s body spray after I showered this morning, which was hours ago. It’s 98 degrees outside. I did as I was instructed with calling before coming up there to shorten any wait time, but he/Mayso didn’t want to take the order over the phone.
Some people should not be in positions where they have to deal w/ the public, and based on the interactions that I’ve had with him he shouldn’t be working with the public. He is not pleasant to deal with and I don’t want to question if my food is going to be right or potentially tampered with due to a salty individual.
I did receive a white chicken pizza, but the chicken was still cold and there was no Parma and Roma cheese on the crust. That is the last time that I will order or patronize that location based on this ordeal. I will not spend my money somewhere and have to deal with a cranky person. Via DoorDash the order was ($28.12) nearly $30.
I’ve only had two interactions with Mayso and the first one I let go, but after this experience I needed to share that. I hope no one else has had to deal with his crankiness and him snapping on them. That’s not how you talk to anyone, especially when the patron never did or said anything negative to him at all.
Update as of 08/30/2024: I spoke w/ Mayso (the man I had the ordeal with who is the manager) and I tried to explain my side. He continued to cut me off and would not let me explain that the pizza was still wrong as the chicken was cold and there was no Parma or Roma cheese on the crust. If you got it, repeat the order back to the customer, because that’s part of the issue when I had to place the order in the store. He didn’t let me finish the order as he said “I got it”.
You don’t have it when it’s wrong or you don’t get the whole order. I understand and I respect that everyone is busy, but things could have been handled a lot differently on 08/29/2024.
The pizza was delicious but the cashier spent the whole time being rude, snide and condescending. He was telling me how to and what to order... He was giving major attitude and could tell he was on some sort of power trip... You work at a pizza place, just stop... At first I assumed maybe he was just having a bad day but was really passionate about pizza, as he felt the need to correct me about everything I said or asked for. But then he messed almost everything up on our order and I knew he was just an incompetent jerk. We ordered 2 large pizzas; 1 cheese, and 1 half tomato/half green pepper....and a 2 liter of Sprite... They brought us Mountain Dew instead. The guy in the back who brought the food out to us asked if there was anything else he could do for us. I told him we got the wrong drink so he switched them out and got us the Sprite. I thanked him and we were about to leave but we were really hungry so we went to open the top box to grab a slice. Sure enough, the pizza that was supposed to be a half tomato/ half green pepper, was in fact tomato, green pepper and mushroom - on the whole pie... The guy from the back (NOT the horrible cashier) noticed that something was wrong and came to the opposite side of the store, out into the lobby where my family and I were sitting. He apologized and was happy to make us a new pizza with the correct toppings. Another 20 minutes for the pizza to cook, and the guy from the kitchen brought it out to us and apologized again. We thanked him for his help and great service. I was deep in conversation with my kids, sending emails back and forth and planning out the rest of my night. My kid pointed went to grab a slice as we were all even hungrier now, and pointed out to me that the size of the boxes were different and he thought we got 2 large pizzas.... We did. But at this point, they had messed up the drink, the toppings and the size. We had been there for almost an hour and still hadn't gotten what we paid for. I was so frustrated at that point that I decided to just take the medium pizza even though we paid for large. Worst experience ever with Marco's. And I had a friend with me, I had been telling them for months that Marco's pizza was sooo tasty, but the experience ruined it for both of us. I won't be going back and my friend was talking about the experience the whole way...
Read moreThe older man who idk may be the manager or person in charge has bad customer service. I walked in he barely spoke until a moment after I walked in and just stood there. He wasn't having a conversation with the person he was training and nothing was going on but after acknowledging me I let him know I was there to pick up an order he said about 5 minutes and sat back down. After I grabbed a napkin to open the bathroom door (for personal reasons obviously) i didn't notice the small "in use" ticker near the door handle so I stepped away and said "oh it does say in use oops" afterwards the person in charge stared me down with a nasty look so I stared back at him and he turned away. Once the food was done I asked to make sure the 2 ranch cups were in the box he seemed to not care to speak to me but in a nonchalant manner cut me off saying their in the box. This small interaction did not have to go this way and if you don't like your job just quit. Not sure what aggravated you but if you don't want to be polite go be successful...
