This was my 3rd time here and it was vastly different than the other times I ate here but I probably won't be back. I arrived with some coworkers and including us there were probably 10-12 patrons there. The first thing we noticed, my coworker ordered a Coke and when he opened it there was no carbonation. The coke was completely flat so I'm not sure how old that drink was. I suspect the restaurant may be trying to avoid waste however, when you arrive at a buffet, you expect food to be available. Most pans had one or two portions of food available, and it seemed like food was being prepared in a small batches to be placed on the line. I can certainly appreciate this because it does help keep the food fresh however when the pans sit empty for 20 or more minutes something should be adjusted. There was one sad piece of carrot cake in a pan when we arrived and same one piece remained there so nobody wanted to take it. This was the middle of lunch and we still had to ask for food to be replaced in empty pans on the buffet. Buffet/ food aside, the most annoying aspect was being watched like a hawk as if we were going to steal/ leave without paying. My coworker ordered some food togo for his family and they stopped by to pick it up. The cashier came over immediately and tried to seat them at a table and she was told they weren't staying. She remained standing by our group as we greeted them then 60 seconds later she tried to take a drink order and was told again that they are not staying. She continued to hover in the area, I guess to see if they were going to eat any food off of someone's plate... I'm not really sure but she was told again they weren't staying and he reminded her he would pay for the food he ordered to go. When we finally got up to leave as he was at the register, he told her he was the one that had the Coke and the to go food and she said oh I've already already got that in a tone that appeared to indicate she wasn't going to let him get away with stealing. Maybe this restaurant could benefit from stopping the buffet option and just go to an...
Read moreI have only been once and ordered food to go. The lady who took my order was courteous, the food came pretty quickly. I felt very comfortable while I briefly waited.
I ordered a very standard Pad Thai - I thought the price was a pretty steep - but when I got the order, I understood - it was HUGE! I ate my fill (and I'm a big eater) and shared the rest with my mom, who couldn't even finish it. I'd love a half portion for half the price!
I ordered "medium spicy" (choices were little, medium, a lot and Thai spicy) - I think of myself as someone who can tolerate spicy foods and I eat spicy regularly. But the medium was seriously my threshold of spice. I was surprised! It was on the verge of being too spicy for me to enjoy. That was a surprise! Never happens to me. I'm so curious if I ordered it again if it would be the same or if it was a mistake.
I wasn't in love with the dish. It had more fish sauce in it, than any Pad Thai I've ever had. It tasted like fish sauce and ketchup... And spice. I missed the flavor nuance. It needed more green onion and bean sprouts.
I'd go back and try the buffet, though. It looked really popular and Pad Thai can really be a matter of personal taste and experience.
Sum up - Nice service Huge portions - that reflect in the price (so go ahead and split your meal with a friend) Very Spicy Not the best ever food flavor...
Read moreI will not return!! We arrived at 1 pm and got our first plate but most of the main dishes were empty or dried out so we figured they would be refreshing soon. 10 -15 minutes later, there are no refills. I ask the woman at register if they were going to replenish and she said " there is some lemon chicken coming out." I asked about the others and she rudely and in a snippy tone said " we close at 2!" I said well, we got here at 1! If you aren't going to add food after 1 then close it at 1 and let people finish what is left. After I asked her, a few more customers came in and she told them " we close at 2 so whatever is there is all." There are 2 other Thai buffets which keep a much better stock until their actual " closing or ending time" and quite honestly have much tastier food in our opinion so I am not paying 13.00 for a skimpy dried out buffet with rude staff. Sorry, she was not overworked there were on a few people coming in and she just sat people and got your drink. At no time was a refill offered. I could understand if a business is slammed busy especially nowadays that nobody wants to work but it was not the first time. It had been a while since we were there for lunch because they were not well stocked then and when you have limited lunch time, you can't really wait around and hope for refills....
