Phillips Seafood — Restaurant in Ferndale

If you’re looking to feel like an inconvenience, this is your place. When it took the bartender about 10 minutes at the beginning to acknowledge me and let another person cut in front of me, that should’ve been my cue to choose a different place to eat before my flight. Fool me once, shame on you. There won’t be a fool me twice and I fly out of this airport weekly on Friday nights. Never again.

That was the start. I ordered a Crabcake sandwich and fries. I give credit where it’s due…it was good, probably about a 4. If it wasn’t $42 (without any drinks), it would’ve probably been a solid 4.5. About 10 minutes after I ordered my food, the bartender indicated that they will be shutting the kitchen down for 15 minutes. Looking through the order window, it looked like they were cleaning the grill and my order was nowhere to be seen. They should’ve just finished the pending orders and then shut the kitchen down for cleaning.

About 30 minutes into my wait, I tried to get the bartender’s attention. He was busy with the drink orders so I proceeded to get the attention of the waiter. He totally ignored me and gave me a dirty look when I asked if the order that was placed on the order window was mine. He didn’t even bother checking while picking up a couple of “dine in” orders that were next to my “to go” order. I started to get a bit anxious at this time since my flight that was about 20 minutes delayed was already half way through boarding. I waited another 5 minutes trying to get the bartenders attention. Close to 45 minutes into I said out loud towards the bartender that I’m about to miss my flight and I’ve been already waiting over 40 minutes for my food and I’m about to contest the charges. He finally graciously walked over to the window and gave me my food without saying a word.

Never again. Unless you have an hour to spare on waiting for food, I would stay away...

Upon our arrival to the restaurant the table was dirty. There were only 2 available tables the waitress told us we could sit wherever we wanted. Both tables were dirty so we sat and she quickly came over and cleaned it for us. I wanted a seafood platter but it seemed to pricey for the type of restaurant. I asked for the fish tacos the ingredients included slaw chipotle mayo and pico de Gallo. The had a pinEapple salsa that was paired with another meal. I asked if I could have some of that as well. She replied yes. I ordered crab soup as my appetizer. My boyfriend placed his order, which was fish tacos and a order of chicken wings. He asked for water and I lemonade. The waitress returned about 10-15 minutes later with our fish tacos all they had on it was a pinch of slaw and it was drowned in the chipotle mayo. I asked her where was the pico, and pineapple salsa she replied we are out of both. She did not bring my soup either, she said that it was coming. I became infuriated because she did not apologize, nor did she give me the option to change my order when she discovered that they were out of not 1 but 2 of the requested items. I attempted to eat the tacos but I could not. I told her to take it away and I did not want anything. My guy said that his wings tasted funny and she didn’t say anything. He asked for the check 3 times before she finally decided to bring it to us. He paid the bill and then noticed that she charged us for two drinks..... needless to say that this was a horrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever. THEY ARE...

If I could give this place a 0 I would The gentleman whom waited on us from the time we had a seat he was so rude his name Serekebr was so nasty and very unprofessional his customer service was terrible we waited for a while then when he finally came over he was trying to rush us then someone ran out on the bill I stated to him if you wasn’t so nasty maybe they have not done that to you he came with our check before we even could ask I stated to him we wasn’t ready for the bill we wanted something else he then got smart I stated to my wife I don’t want anything else out of here before I loose my cool let’s just go because he been rude from the beginning he needs to go back to customer service school or something because he truly dose not no how to deal with the public I will never eat there again as long as he is the server I travel all the time but I will never return there if he’s...
