A classic American diner experience, sticky checkered floors, springy booths, and shiny reflective metal walls included. A simplistic menu, but more extensive than I expected for an airport restaurant.
The service was very fast, quick on seating, order taking, refills, and subsequent orders that were placed. Our server Toryron was a nice guy, and he provided the service needed to get things done.
Ordered a Lemonade, a cup of the crab and corn chowder, the grilled chicken Cesar salad, and the classic Sunday with caramel sauce.
Really enjoyed the classic songs they had playing, theme songs from old cartoons and old 60's or 70's shows. Brought back some good memories.
The corn chowder was very hot, had great flavor, and included some crackers. The salad was impressive, warm, a good dressing, crunchy croutons, tasty chicken, but it had tomatoes. What is the world coming to, who puts tomatoes in a Cesar salad? Now the Sunday was pretty solid as a dessert choice, but wasn't anything to write home about. And it was also covered in fudge which I did not request, and the menu only said it would come with one choice.
Overall the price for a solo-traveler was very high, costing me nearly the same what I paid in Florida for two people at a comparable restaurant. But, I guess that's the...
Read moreThe only reason why I’m giving it one star instead of zero is because of the initial person who took my order. The hostess who was in a white shirt and has dark brunette hair was very rude and kept saying things as if everything was a debate even when I asked for strawberry jelly. The black male (African) then approached us and asked if we had been helped despite having multiple conversations with the woman in the white shirt (no change over or communication between staff) tables were beyond filthy and When I asked for paper towels to wipe off the tables that had just been cleaned, I was met with why where is it wet at even though I told them the table was wet. Then, when I wipe the table off and showed her the dirty napkin and expressed to her, you might want to change out the rag your table service person is using so that the table won’t be dirty. She said the last section is closed anyway. Since we were sitting there waiting for our to go order… I guess clean tables do not matter. Once we got our food breakfast sandwich meals with potatoes the bread was somehow chewy, and not toasted as if it was stale. This place is not one I would recommend or ever...
Read morePleasantly surprised by this airport restaraunt. Airport food is hit and miss so you never know.
We landed around 11am and our connection wasnt until 2 30p so we had plenty of time to grab a late breakfast for me and lunch for the hubby.
I ordered the avocado toast and it was so flavorful and the portion size was perfect (it could have been a little warmer but that's my only complaint- my husband's food was hot so I imagine my toast got cold waiting for his). It was good though and I finished it.
My husband ordered the pickle chicken sandwhich and it was huge. He never finishes anything and almost did here. Soooo much food. He wasn't even sure how to even begin eating this sandwhich it was so big. It came with shoestring fries... not my fave but not my meal. After he ordered we noticed a crab cake panini that he wanted to order too (but too late).
Menu is huge.....tons of options. Milkshakes were popular as wr heard them being made the entire time we were there. There are charging stations at the countertop (but my plug kept falling out of it) and a board to keep track of your flight status.
Plenty of countertop seating and tables. Our server...
