When you first walk up, it looks like you order from the menu on the wall and then go sit down. We waited about 7 minutes for someone to come to that counter to help the man in front of us. Then my mom ordered her food and then turned to me and said she would go get a table while I ordered mine. The lady told her the tables are for ordering off the menu...what did we order from? So I said I'd order from the menu and we could sit and she can keep what she ordered. We went to sit down and Travis was very friendly and attentive. He gave us menus and let us know immediately that they didn't have pretzels or fish and chips available.
The chicken tenders were overcooked and rubbery, I could barely eat two of them. It seems the oil they cook in hadn't been changed in a very long time. The ranch was very warm, like it had been sitting in the sun. My mom said her burger wasn't bad, but her fries were similar to the chicken as far as overcooked and in bad oil. I don't remember what she said about her drink that she ordered. There were gnats flying all over the place too, which is odd because we are in an airport and you wouldn't expect that in there..
I ended up not finishing my food, and got a bagel down at Einsteins. The only perk here was being able to sit down at a table, and Travis was a...
Read moreRecently stopped by the Harbour Grille for a beer before my flight. The bartender was alone serving drinks for 50 people (i counted) - with a revolving door of about 15 minutes for 25% of the place. This was shocking and unreasonable to put customers and that poor bartender in that kind of position in an airport.
I asked a stewardess if she knew who the owner might be? She said “no” …and then added “it is always this way.”
Perhaps the owner of this spot should be forced to serve the way they are expecting their employees to serve. Absolutely unconscionable. Shame on the leadership of this establishment.
P.S. - And … if you are having resourcing challenges, either close the place until you can staff it … or reduce the number of people you seat. If you cannot run a business and treat your staff (and customers) with dignity you really should rethink your business model. As for me, I left after 20 minutes and after realizing the bartender was in emotional and physical distress for the benefit of the owner. Not the kind of place I...
Read morePriority Pass: you really need to do better for your customers! Wife and I ate here 2x in the past week, entirely because of $28 Priority Pass credits. The menu indicates it's more like "Harbor Frying Pan" than Harbor Grille. Also, the employees obviously LACK TRAINING in how to work in a service business. The restaurant half empty last night, I watched a fellow passenger try to make eye contact with an employee for 10 minutes to get seated, and he left. I was finally seated, and server provided 1 menu for two of us to share. Service is extremely slow. Water, silverware, extra condiments are provided with the greatest reluctance. Seems like every employee (both times) was sullen and wished to be elsewhere. Feels like living inside an SNL skit. Warning: do not come here unless you have ~2 hours until your flight boards. We witnessed customers order, wait a long time, and have to leave and catch flights before food came. The food itself was OK, but mostly breaded/fried...
