Well, this USO was the most absolute horrible experience Iāve had. Iāve been going to the USO for decades, I was an active duty soldier, wife of an active duty soldier and I now am a 100% line of duty service connected disabled veteran.
My brother who is a current active duty soldier moving with his family to Germany and was on a 7 hour layover went to the USO for some piece and kindness since he had been up on airplanes with 5 kids under 10. WOW is all I can say about the way we were treated!!!!!!!!
First incident was him being yelled at by the worker for asking for food. Then I witnessed another families teenager being told he was eating to many snacks.......then the worker started eating the snacks donated for that young man in front of him. The lady then started complaining that a large family asked for 5 waters!
The lady was extremely rude and obnoxious to ME. I am the mother of a soldier! I am the sister of a soldier! I am a service connected disabled veteran......who on earth is the USO there to serve if not for people like me?
I question how the USO is using the donations if it isnāt for soldiers and their families. It was completely a mess and caused more stress to our already overwhelming situation. If the workers donāt want to serve service families they need to stop volunteering there and go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow. Talking about waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Tried to enter this USO with my wife, son, granddaughter and his wife to take a little rest between flights. Upon entering the female at the desk. Let's call her " miss attitude" was waiting and ready. She asked for everyone ID with a tone I've only heard from someone who is hating life. Diane K informed me that my family couldn't enter due to not having a military ID. This was the first I have heard of this and let her know that we stopped in at the beginning of our vacation. She said and I quote " well you must have snuck in". I was shocked at her attitude toward me and my family. I told her once again that I have never heard of this rule and we have been allowed in USOs in Cincinnati, Denver, here and other places. She once again with attitude and shaking her head no... That " that is the law" and " I don't know when the last time you traveled was " If this is the rule I understand and accept the "new" policy. My problem was her attitude and how condescending she spoke to me. Diane K don't need to be volunteering especially at a USO or anything dealing with military. Just my 2 cents. Sad hateful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn 29 June my family and I were flying out of Baltimore to Germany and had 12 hours to kill before our flight. We spent most of it walking around the airport and going up to the observatory. This was due to the rudeness of the volunteers at the USO there in Baltimore. I waited with our bags at the ticket counter while my wife and kid went to the USO to charge their phone and iPad. They came back after about 15 minutes saying that the people working were very rude. Apparently it was a problem for my child to get her own bottle of water (she is 11) and when my wife got a plate for both her and my daughter she was snapped out saying she could only get one. When my wife explained it was for the both of them and nodded towards my kid the response was "Oh...". I went down myself to see if maybe it was just jet lag and irritability due to a long day already...NOPE! I went in and received the same shortness that my family did. When asked a question or to see something it was like you were putting them out. Very...
