Traveling through Fernley after hours, we needed a quick bite to eat, and because we are vegetarians, our options were limited. Burger King off of Penny way was the best choice for our traveling restrictions, but I was nervous to eat here after reading bad reviews. We took the chance because we were hungry and limited, and we are grateful we did because we had a wonderful hot meal that tasted very fresh! Because we had a 40-ft trailer, we obviously would not fit through drive-thru, so our 7 year old and I went up to the door which was locked. As she danced around to use the bathroom, the manager came around to open up the door for us. Like everyone else in this world they were short-staffed, but were still willing to accommodate us because of our 40 foot trailer. The manager was very friendly, and the gentleman that took our order was very helpful making sure he accommodated all of our needs such as extra sauce, potato bun, and they went above and beyond to even properly size an impossible Burger so our daughter could have herself "a special kids meal". I should have asked all three of them their names so I could give them credit, and I regret not doing so because they were amazing! The lady cook nailed our meal to a T, the fries were freshly made, and our bellies were definitely content! The cashier and I were chatting as we waited for our food, and he said he had been there two weeks without a day off! That really says a lot about his character, obviously being super tired, but still putting on a smile and a chipper attitude to help my family. I mentioned to the three of them I was hesitant because of how the reviews were horrible in some respect, but was surely glad we came in! The manager did mention that this Burger King is under New Management, and that is why. I just want to say thank you again to the three of you, as kindness THESE DAYS goes...
Read moreOrder was read back to me at the drive-thru speaker and was correct. Upon receiving my order at the window I had none of my onion rings. I then asked if we could fix my order so I could have my onion rings because apparently they weren't on the receipt; 1 large, 3 medium. An employee attempted to fix this for me after the woman who took my order was rude and walked away yelling. While this very nice employee was helping me with my order the manager pushed her out of the way and slam the window in my face. When the manager reopen the window she approached me with attitude and told me I only had a large onion ring with a meal. I said that is okay but I did order them and I don't mind paying for them if they are not on my receipt but I would still like my onion rings. Before I could finish saying this she again slammed the window in my face and walked away. After this the nice employee help me to order the rest of my onion rings. I like to frequent the Burger King in my town for family lunches and I will not be back again with a manager that handles her employees and customers in such a rude and cruel manner. Harassment and physical abuse should never be allowed in a workplace. At 1:59pm on Thursday August 1st. I unfortunately did not get to see if she had a name tag so I do not know who did this. But I'm very disappointed and can not believe the way she treated me or...
Read moreThis Burger King location is by far the worst I've ever been too. In the last 6 months I've tried to go 3 times. First 2 times I was told they can't take cards. The reader was broke and BK was unable to take cards for months. Manager /owner must not have enough brains to call the merchant company and have a new one sent out. Today I go and I make sure I have cash and then I'm told they can only take cards as there was no cash drawer in the register. I asked how they were doing business at 230 pm with no cash and no drawer? I asked for the manager and I was told there wasn't a manager on property. However, as I was pulling up to the window an employee, guessing a manager, was sweeping her card in the register to gain access to the register to fix something. So I thought it was strange that I was lied too about no manager being there. Unless the manager went for a drink and gave the card to a regular employee. I was the only drive thru customer. 1 person eating inside. The people not coming to this pathetic dump of a restaurant are much smarter than me. I left without my food and will never go back again. I hope soon we get a real restaurant that wants to feed the people and make money. This Burger King is the exact opposite. I'm pretty sure they are going out of business and only staying open for some kind of...
