Captain D's — Restaurant in Ferry Pass

When I pulled up to the drive through there was a sign saying pull up to window to order. I ordered the $4.99 shrimp, fish, and crab meal. I was told they were out of shrimp. After waiting 10-15 mins. I finally got my order. Since it took so long I wanted to check my order before pulling off. The girl at the window rudely asked me to pull up. I told her I was checking my order first. I didn't see your cream at first so I asked for some. She rudely told me she wasn't giving me more because she put some in the bag. After I looked again I did see the sour cream. I also asked for hot sauce. At this point the girl at the window started telling me about the people behind me. I told her I wanted to make sure I had everything cause I wasn't coming in after waiting all that time in line. I then started pulling away from the window. I'm almost positive that I could hear her yell something at me as I was driving off. I called back to the store to make a complaint about the rude employee. The manager on duty did not seem overly concerned. I told her that the drive through was out, they were out of crab, and then there was the rude employee. I told her that was the last straw. My husband and I went to Captain D's on N. Davis Hwy. to try their new crab patties & Key Lime Pie. When we started ordering the crab patties dinner the cashier told us they were out of them, having sold the last of them right before us. My husband wanted to leave but we decided to stay. He ordered the Seafood Platter & was told that they were out of stuffed crab shell also. The cashier said they would put extra shrimp on the platter to make up for the sold out stuffed crab shell so my husband accepted that. We also ordered a piece of their Key Lime Pie. When we received our food, my husband's platter didn't have more shrimp on it but had 3 breaded, fried chicken strips which were skinny. Also, we didn't get the pie we had ordered. When my husband went back to the counter to check on it, he was told they were sold out. Strike 4. We got to choose another dessert but I really wanted the Key Lime Pie & crab patties. First time trying Captain D's. I tried the chicken dinner with a baked potato and mac and cheese. It also came with two hush puppies. The chicken was thick and tender white meat chicken. I'm on the fence about the coating I will have to try again but flavor didn't seem to be the greatest. The baked potato was generous with sour cream and butter. However it was steamed or microwaved so there was no crispy skin at all. The hush puppies were very bland, and the mac and cheese was kind of just one small spoonful clump and was just okay. The meal was $ 11 ish. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I've seen a lot of people post on other sites that they thought it was good. I will definitely give them another try though. I will try the butterfly shrimp and possibly the green beans with ham, and maybe the jalapeno poppers. I'm not a fish eater other than shrimp so maybe this place is...
