Full of surprises, and not all good. Many of the meals are spicy. I ordered the Rossilli's Cioppino and the Italian sausage in that sauce must have been spicy Italian sausage because it was too spicy for me. Which was very disappointing. I had conversations with the server about how I was avoiding spicy food and was sadly surprised. I can handle some heat, and it was too much for me.
Weight staff operate as if everyone knows what’s going on. Like your at a private dinner club and everyone goes all the time. As a person who had never been to dinner service it was unwelcoming
It was COLD we went in august and we are not fair weather diners. I don’t typically need a sweater or jacket but I was i comfortably cold!
I wanted a dinner salad and they didn’t have one. Which was so surprising to me because at lunch they have MANY salad options. They offered to make me a Cesar salad with some chicken on top, but I didn’t want an after thought meal. And I don’t love Cesar. But maybe I should have.
The rolls and poppyseed dressing is AMAZING!
I was a little offended that when o didn’t order a bar drink before ordering my meal, the sever just removed the whole bar menu. I would have ordered a drink, but wanted to pick out my meal first. But with no bar menu and at that point in time the server was getting short with me. I didn’t want to order a drink from him and boost his sales in that matter.
Overall the menu items were not that easily described to know what you were ordering. I almost ordered a chicken meal and the sever clarified that it was over spaghetti. No where on the menu did it indicate that there was pasta with it. It wasn’t listed with the other pastas.
There is a credit card charge even though we didn’t see a warning about it. Otherwise we would have paid cash.
Overall, I’ll be back for lunch for the Meg salad and rolls. But I don’t think I want to come...
Read moreRossilli's is one a a few higher-end restaurants in Findlay.
There are several good points to share from my visit. The food, by and large, was of high quality and tasty. The service was good, but not great as I had to ask the server multiple times for either refills and they had a habit of leaving the table before we were completely finished giving our order. Pricing was fair and on the higher side but not ridiculous. The meatloaf was very good and I would absolutely recommend.
Two things that kept the experience from being a 5-star destination:
First, the food temperature was wildly uneven. Our appetizer showed up lukewarm, which is not how it is supposed to be served. Second, our salads were fridge-cold, which means they were pre-prepared and sitting in the fridge until ordered. Fine for the Outback, but not for a restaurant with greater aspirations. Lastly, the dessert was off-temp as well. Creme Brulee is supposed to be caramelized, not utterly torched. You could have broken a tooth it was charred so much.
Secondly, the layout of the establishment is crowded. I'm sure the proprietors would prefer me to describe it as intimate, but that is an impossibility. Tables are VERY close together, the server will bump into your chair at least once every other visit as they have precious little room to maneuver. I understand that you want to maximize your available real estate, but chairs and tables are packed in knees to elbows.
Overall, I would visit this establishment again but would ask for a booth and be more careful about ordering too-many temperature...
Read moreI've been wanting to try this restaurant since I first moved to Findlay, since I love Italian food. After visiting with my husband this weekend, we will not be returning. First, we were placed at a little table up against the wall, which was filthy, as you can see in the picture. It doesn't take much to wipe down your walls. The hostess literally started yelling across the floor at another employee for having their phone out in the doorway at the back of the restaurant. Maybe that's something you should discuss in private. The same hostess had a bad attitude the entire time we were there and was specifically rude to our waiter, who seemed like a nice guy, and was only trying to get her to calm down. The artichoke and asiago bruschetta wasn't what I was expecting, but it was good. But honestly, it was good because it tasted exactly like Domino's cheesy bread. My Cesar salad was good, but my husbands red pepper sausage soup was disgusting. Had a heavy, sweet Italian sausage grease flavor to it and way too much heavy cream. His lasanga was basic, not bad, but not good. Although he couldn't bring himself to really eat it after the soup because he was grossed out. I ordered the Maryland Crab cannelloni, which the menu states it has a lemon dill sauce on it. All I could taste was lemon, but very sweet lemon. Like lemon cake with an after taste of spinach that was also in the dish. This is disappointing because the crab itself did taste good, but overall, the dish was way too sweet and, again, too much heavy cream. I couldn't eat it, my husband just asked for the check...
