We went to Tavern at the Inn for our 21st anniversary. We arrived and waited 10 minutes to get water and have a waitress acknowledge us. We told her we were ready to order to which she replied rudely "I'm not ready for you yet, but I can bring you bread". She seemed very frazzled, so we wanted to extend grace to her. We told her it was not a problem, and that we could order when she returned. We waited another 10-15 minutes for the waitress to return to take our appetizer order. We told the waitress we were also ready to order or meals. She said she'd put in the appetizer order and would come right back, she didn't..... 30 minutes later she brings the appetizer and wanted to take our order. At the point we no longer wanted to eat there. We asked for the check, and she finally brought that after a while. She never came back to take our payment so my husband had to go to the bar to pay and get a box for our appetizer. It was absolutely terrible service, though she was more than happy to visit another table multiple times while we waited throughout the evening. I will say, the appetizer was delicious! Read moreThere's something profoundly comforting about a solid burger, the kind that reminds you why we seek solace in familiar foods. The Tavern at the Inn delivers just that. Nestled in the heart of a nondescript hotel, you might find yourself momentarily disoriented by the blend of cozy tavern atmosphere and unmistakable hotel vibes. But sit down, order, and let the food take center stage.
The burgers here are, without question, a highlight. Juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection, they are a testament to the chef's commitment to quality. The portion sizes are generous—enough to satisfy even the most ravenous traveler or local alike.
Service at the Tavern can be a bit hit-or-miss. Some days, you might find yourself marveling at the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, while on others, you might feel slightly neglected. Yet, this minor inconsistency doesn't detract from the overall experience.
It's the food that keeps you coming back. It's a place worth visiting, if only to remind yourself that excellence can be found in...
Read moreI've lived in Findlay my entire life and could have never imagined there was perfection being grilled right down the street from me. I started with a Tom Collins mixed drink and some Brisket Nachos. The Nachos were massive, enough to feed 4 people, the bread was hot and when dipped in olive oil was just excellent. The lady got the bacon wrapped meatloaf and mashed potatoes which she said was wonderful and for my dinner, the coconut pecan crusted flounder and a side of lobster bisque. Now seafood lovers, beware, this was probably the best fish I've had so far from the coast. The coconut was subtle and the pomegranate glaze was just the right touch. Wonderful experience and will be returning. Special thanks to the chefs and to our server Kim ♡ She was wonderful and did an amazing job, give that...
