I understand language barriers and accents. I lived in Houston for 9 years and worked with people of all cultural backgrounds. My family walked in for lunch and we made it in good time because as soon as we placed our order at the counter 5 people walked in and the phones were non stop with orders. All being taken by the same women. She juggled them all well and quick. I know she may sound rude to you in the phone but she is busy and needs to get your order in and delivered. So to who mentioned she was rude, do some traveling or go in the shop and watch her. There was only one cook and while we ate we saw over 25 people come in and out for takeout orders. As to who mentioned what style of cooking a meal is based on...their menu at the counter says which style...they use multiple styles so that they can incorporate more food for their clients. So ask for a specific item and they can then answer your idiotic question. Now what you really want to know is how the food tasted...We got the food which I have to say the almond was better than the generals chicken...my family likes spicy. In Texas we would eat hotter curry than the server could handle. So this was just average food to us. It was better than going to the buffets but I feel like they could use more flavor. I recommend going non breaded and with lots of veggies for more flavors. I still got the usual tummy ache though after but that is what I get every time we go Chinese fast food up here...though I still like Mings better they are pretty similar. So it just comes down to which is...
Read moreI would rate this a 5 until this past Saturday and we decided to enjoy a night out and go to The China for dinner. We love their food!! But when we got to the door a sign said "only accepting takeout orders" Wait, What!!! Also the sign said for Friday & Saturday night! How do you run a business like that!! They can do take out orders but no dining in!! Never heard of this in my 70 yrs!! So disappointed and still cannot understand how they can run a business like that. If you are under staffed you hire more or if short then close the whole place down! But don't have the doors open for only takeout when you are a dining...
Read moreThere are lots of mixed reviews for this place, so I'll be brief. The food was mostly flavorless for this visit. We got fried rice and wonton soup, which to me should be staple items for any Asian place, but these were bland and needed some dressing up when we got it home. The turnaround time is good, and I didn't eat in the restaurant, but the facade of this place needs some work. It seems dingy and dirty, but they've been around for a while, so I assume they are up to code from the HD. Overall, there are much better Asian options than this in town, so we will be choosing those...
