Maggie Magee's is a fun bake shop in the Fircrest business area... Which is small but nice and cute. The bake shop is a great addition. They carry a lot of vegan and gluten free options. This is similar to walking into a very, very good school bake sale because they feature things like cookies, slab cakes, bars and cupcakes. The selections are down to earth, comfort food oriented. While I am a fan of croissants...I love that this shop offers a fun twist on American nostalgia. For instance, they make doughnies...a cross between a donut and brownie. They carry drip coffee and a few cold drinks, but if you need espresso... Go up the street to Espresso Yourself. If you have a sweet tooth... And I mean sweet tooth... This is a great stop. Sunday is cinnamon roll day and I'm looking forward to trying them out. Parking is easy so you have no excuse not to stop in!!!

How has this spot gone under my radar for so long? What a lovely neighborhood bakery! I’ve worked in many bakeries over the years so I hate to admit it but I can be a bit picky. I’ve been spoiled. Maggie Magee’s is wonderful. The first bite of their ginger cookie took me back to my childhood. Just nostalgic. Their fresh baked bread was so delicious it needn’t have butter on it. On Sunday’s they bake a vast variety of cinnamon rolls. So many fun creative flavors. They have a couple vegan options as well as gluten alternatives. I can’t wait to try the cinnamon rolls! The staff is so welcoming, passionate and friendly even though I came in right before closing time. You can tell they work hard and love what they do. I noticed there aren’t a lot of pictures here yet but their instagram is full of them, or better yet just stop by. You’ll be glad you did

A friend of mine showed me this place and it completely surprised me. First of all, the service was extraordinary. There aren't many places that immediately make you feel comfortable or make you feel like a long time customer, even on your first visit. I purchased a vanilla funfetti cupcake and a classic peanut butter cookie. They were delicious. I had been craving a peanut butter cookie for weeks and it got the spot! I thought about the cupcake for days after. I wanted more! I tried stopping by on a Monday to purchase more, but mistakenly didn't check their hours. I haven't been back since my first visit (early July), ONLY because it's out of my way. If I lived close by, I would go way too often. I highly recommend trying out one (or ten) of the many delicious treats offered here!

I'll have to update this with pictures next time I visit. I took a bite of each thing to try before posting so I could comment one taste and quality and forgot all about getting photos. My favorite new bakery! I'm excited to find a bakery that meets everyone's dietary needs locally, it makes a big difference. You guys were so friendly and welcoming to my friend and me Sunday the 17th. We loved the St. Patrick's Day cookies. The vegan, gluten free cinnamon roll could win a blind a taste test, it was the best I've had and will become a regular Sunday treat. The shop portion of the bakery is adorable and I love that there are fun things to look at and shop for if there's a wait. The space is cozy without being to cramped and so welcoming, you'll be drooling after the first step. If you added sugar free it would cover everything, it's truly amazing to find such delicious treats with so many allergy considerations....
