This used to be my go-to coffee stand a couple years back. The two regular morning girls were great, very sweet, always remembered my order (at the time I went multiple times per week). Then one got pregnant and left... The other morning girl left shortly thereafter, and then it seems like only high school girls were filling the place, especially after the remodel. Which is fine in theory..... But I would tell them my order (not particularly difficult, in my opinion- splash of cream and a sugarfree syrup), and they would constantly get it wrong because either A) the girl who was relaying my order to the other girl at the espresso machine was wrong, or B) they were chatting too much and not paying any attention, or C) maybe the music's too loud and I mumble too much. It got to the point where as they were about to hand me my drink, I would make sure to ask them again that they put the sugarfree syrup in it. I hated to do that because usually they would have to dump the drink and remake it, but I'm not going to pay upwards of $6 for a coffee that they screwed up after I was extremely clear about my order. I think I got an eyeroll once too, which was probably not directed at me, but regardless.
So I eventually had enough of this general lack of attention to detail and took my business to another nearby coffee stand. Good help is hard to find, I know, but it would make all the difference if employees were more attentive. I'm gladly paying the same price elsewhere for better, more consistent coffee service.
Bottom line: Great coffee, prices are consistent with the local market. If you order one of their frilly house drinks, those are super delicious-- but if you have a special order, don't trust them to actually make what you...

If you like the Gravity coffee stand on Center st. in Tacoma definitely ask for all receipts related to your purchase, especially the portion with the tip line. I purchased a gift card nothing more as a birthday gift for a friend that loves this place. Was handed the activation slip nothing else. Was not even offered another full receipt. The next day I check my account and the $20 gift card cost me $280. Called my credit union and was asked to try and have the business resolve it. Okay no problem. The number on the sight goes to space. So I drop in to another shop to get help. They gave me a number to a woman who seemed kind and wanted to help. Three days later no response no contact. I go back to the shop to get help again. On the 15th I get a call and was told they would refund me. Here we are the 23rd no refund and no one has even tried to reach out. I had to let my credit union step in. If you like Gravity on center st. pay cash or ask for all copies of the receipts. Facts: I was told by the person that was supposed to resolve this, they saw one transaction for 20 and another for 260. Hard not to jump to conclusions but I did let them know I was not interested in knowing what happened just want my money back. My friend really likes this place but after all of this even they are hesitant to go back. I am very disappointed in how this whole thing has been handled because this was my very first experience with them. UPDATE: as of the 7/1/23 no contact from Gravity, a manager nor a refund. Read moreI’m giving a two star due to the last 4-5 visits I had at this location has not been the best! I’m not sure what happened but I went there 5 days a week every day that I worked. Since the prices have been raised I been having non stop issues. I was handed a coffee and as soon as I grab it the lid pops off and spills all over my car, the 2nd time my coffee I always get was way over sweetened, the 3rd time I use the app the recommended and the app told me to park at curbside and they will bring my drink they did not so as the app is telling me my drink is ready and they will be out I waited and no one came so I drive to the window and was told my drink was not ready the last 2 visits were pretty much the same nothing taste the same. so I talked to Aubrey the manager and was told due to the issues she will put a free drink on my account and send me a gift card I went 3-4 days without an free drink added so I called and they finally put it on but now almost 2 weeks later still no gift card.
