Sticky and dingy. *TLDR: crappy service, rude workers, unpleasant environment and dumb policies.
Friend suggested this place since they have a projector and cheap beer buckets. We were excited to find our go-to dive bar closer to home. All the servers have the same muted energy with an attitude. Stingy with their napkins too. They're a sports bar that closes at 9. Why cater to a clientele you won't be open for? They come by at 8 and impatiently ask if you want to order before the kitchen closes at 830PM---mind you the game is in the 2nd quarter! My bf and I went there 3 times in the last week to watch the nuggets. Did not feel welcomed whatsoever. On Monday night we sat, my bf ordered his drink I looked for a drink menu on a nearby table since our table did not have one, the server grabbed it from the table behind her and gave it to me i ordered and at the same time my bf asked for darts, the server said all they need is an ID, and as I was grabbing my ID she was like "so i'll just take hers" and grabbed it out of my hand and walked away. She didn't look at it to see my birthdate at all! Just felt like she yanked it bc we were inconveniencing her. The game went long and it was just my bf and I and a couple men at the bar left. A younger guy was cleaning the lobby and when he passed by our table he took the darts back with him since my bf and I hadn't been playing for awhile. Our server came over and told us she could check us out, my bf handed her his card she charged it brought the card back with the receipts a pen. We didn't realize they didn't give me my ID back because AG won us the game in the last 7 seconds. So yeah we were hype and distracted. At home I realized I didn't have my ID. The next day was my bfs bday so we were busy. On Wednesday, I spent all morning emptying my purses, jeans, my bfs jeans, etc then I stop by in the early afternoon asking for my ID. This lady is not one I'm familiar with, so I explain the situation, she checks and lets me know they do not have it, if they did it would be in their lost and found stack she just looked in. I left. I was hoping to catch the server who helped us Monday, so I stopped by on my way home. She was there, I asked if she had my ID and she searched in the same places the other lady had looked behind the bar. She didn't find it and said my ID isn't there but the darts are so that means they gave it back. I re-told her the scenario: it was past closing time, the guy cleaning the lobby took the darts back, she checked us out handed back my bfs card and that was it. She said "oh!" and searched a bit more behind the bar and some drawers. She didn't find it. She informs me that she also hasn't been back since Monday so if it wass there someone probably tossed it since it hadd "been TWO days and we don't keep things like that." I said "you guys don't keep IDs?!" she said "no we don't really hold onto stuff like that..i wish you luck" I was DUMBFOUNDED and livid and just left. What kind of establishment, that ASKS for your LEGAL DOCUMENTATION to borrow THREE darts, does not ensure customers get their IDs back????!!! If YOUR policy is and ID for darts, why don't you make sure it's returned AT THE SAME TIME you get the darts back? I understand it's past closing and you just want to go home. But as a SPORTS BAR that CHOOSES to stay open past posted closing times, shouldn't your workers expect to stay late on game nights and be on their Ps and Qs until the last person leaves? I'm so upset. I felt so belittled and dismissed when MY id is missing because of them. The last time I saw my ID was when she grabbed it out of my hands and returned a small case of darts. It's NOT at home i DO NOT have it my bf did NOT get it back with his card. And y'all STILL have the audacity to look me in the face and tell me you "don't keep that kind of stuff!!!?" FOH! How careless is this establishment that anyone of them is capable of seeing an ID and throwing it away? If you're gonna have rules maybe follow them? Get another dive bar pls so disappointed....
Read moreI've been a customer for 20 years. When you finish a baseball game or need a place to throw an end of the season party - this was the place to go. After a very long today, Parrots felt like the place to go. The wife and I walked in at 7:50. As soon as we set down, we were informed that if we ordered food, it would be about 45 minutes. Their food is usually worth the wait, so we stayed. It was 15 more minutes before we were asked for drinks. When they brought the drinks, we received the menu. We quickly ordered an appetizer and our entrees. About every 20 minutes, the waitress would come to the table to inform us that it wouldn't be much longer. Sometime after 9, she informed us that they were taking 10% off the bill because of the wait. At 9:20, I told my wife that I was leaving at 9:30. At 9:29, the waitress walked up and said, again, it wouldn't be much longer. I got up, threw a 20 on the table and walked out. I'll never go back..... Thanks 4 making a very long day,...
Read moreWe tried to eat here one evening after most places in the area had closed. According to online info they were still open. We walked in and the only other person we could see was a young lady behind the bar. We walked to a booth and sat down, but the young woman got up and strolled into the back. So we sat. No greeting. No menu. No recognition whatsoever. About 20 minutes later the woman emerged and sauntered to our table. She informed us that the kitchen had been closed since 9:00. I told her that our info was that they were open and would remain so for about another hour. Then she explained that normally that would be the case, but the cook just decided to close up shop early. They could have at least taped a sign to the door, but no... So we were treated to being ignored for 20 minutes, only to later be told no food would be coming our way. So how do we rate the service? What service? How do we rate the food? What food? But I bet you can guess who's never...
