I wish I could break down the rating. 5 stars for food and service 3 stars for the dining in
Dragon House has been our go to Chinese food restaurant for years. The crab rangoon are my favorite and my son adores the potstickers. Typically we order delivery and it is always fast. My family and I have occasionally tried other Chinese restaurants in the area and we have yet to find another restaurant that we enjoy the food like we do when we eat at Dragon House.
We went in for the dinner buffet tonight and it seems like the restaurant needs a good amount of maintenance. The ladies room had a stained and sagging ceiling panel and tree shaped new car scent air fresheners hanging from the air vent panel. The little pine trees did not have any effect on masking the unpleasant scent hanging around the ladies room. I left wondering if they had a plumbing with the floor drains or something. There were buckets under the sink and a bottle of beach as well. Seems dangerous to store bleach where any customer's kid might get to it.
I ended today's visit with questions on my mind. If the ownership is cutting corners on maintaining the place I was wondering if there were corners being cut in the kitchen.
Overall I will definitely be ordering more take out and delivery. This food is so good as long as no one is getting sick I will...
Read moreWish I could do zero stars. The food was barely warm and looked like it had been there since lunch - dried out, tasteless and sauceless. My poor daughter took one bite of each of the few items on her plate and was done. She hated all of it. Some birthday dinner. I felt horrible since she treated me to dinner, spent almost $30 with tip (shes a generous soul) and she ate 5 bites, if that. The lady working was VERY loud while working and we could barely hear each other talk. She was talking loud to customers, loud to the other workers and at one point, talking loudly on her phone right next to us with the speaker on. Really??? We have added this place to our "never ever return" list. I begged my daughter to let me ask for at least the money back on her plate but she refused. Needless to say my bday dinner sucked and the only good part was spending time with my daughter. I spent my bday apologizing repeatedly for picking that place. On a positive note, the young man that picked up our plates was very polite. Good luck if you eat buffet there. It looked like they did brisk carryout so, those customers must know already not to do dine-in.
Almost forgot.... buffet dinner is now 11.99 and does NOT include beverage. Picture of the "menu"...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped in on a Friday evening just after 6pm for dinner. We were greeted quickly and the gentleman that rang us out was pleasant and courteous. Unfortunately our dinner plans took a sharp downturn from there. Walking by the buffet to our seats we knew it wasn’t going to be phenomenal but were still willing to give it a shot. The buffet was bare, full of near empty steam trays containing shriveled pieces of dry chicken, obviously old egg rolls and overcooked chicken teriyaki. We still decided to fix ourselves plates of the few things that still appeared edible, we paid as soon as we walked in the door after all. My wife ate one bite of her chicken that she could only describe as “chewy” and a fork full of noodles that appeared to be the freshest item on the buffet and it was cold to the touch, as was everything on my plate. Every bite I had tasted older than the last. We ended up quickly cutting our losses and leaving to go elsewhere. If you are looking for hot fresh Chinese food, this...
