Just went here for the lunch buffet. It was fairly full at 1:00 on a Friday afternoon but we were seated immediately and there was still adequate parking. They had all the staples of a traditional Indian restaurant buffet you would expect, as well as a handful of things I had never seen before--all very good. The trays were replenished frequently. My longest wait for an empty tray to be refilled (for the naan, naturally, since it's so popular) was less than 5 minutes. The wait staff were friendly, efficient, and really on top of things. I've been to just about every Indian buffet in Indy and this one holds up well to each of them. Some items were better than others, but only by a small margin. I have a mid- to low tolerance for heat, but I was able to eat everything on the buffet without issue. There was some heat, of course, but it never overpowered the dishes and it wasn't a struggle for someone like me. My best advice for this place: try everything. Seriously, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Even the things I didn't like as well as the others were still tasty and well executed by the more than capable cooks here. Oddly, the things that stood out to me the most were the small samosas (2-3 bites, just perfect for a buffet portion), the papri chaat (unusual and tasty (creamy and crunchy, sweet and sour, light and refreshing)), and the thick, soft naan.
I highly recommend this place and will be adding it to my...
Read moreWe received a coupon in the mail for 25% off the lunch buffet, so we decided to go and give it a try. It was a very open environment with tile floor and tables everywhere with loud music playing like a mall cafeteria or a busy train station cafeteria. There were three buffet stations with different kinds of authentic Indian foods. I did not recognize some of the names so we did not know what we were eating, but we tried them all and they were delicious. A few dishes had some heat to them and almost all dishes had a lovely combination of flavors like Indian food should. I will post some more pictures with the names of the foods if you want to research what they are before you go. I really loved the mango fruit dessert and the desert balls that look like meatballs that are right next to the mango dessert. They taste like cake donuts rolled in a tasty light syrup. They put glasses on the table and silverware, and when you arrive they bring a pitcher of water to your table. If you want, I think they will bring you a can of soda for an extra charge. On the buffet there is a hot cardamom chai tea to enjoy also. there is a bowl of sugar right next to it so you can sweeten it to your liking. I hope you get a chance to try this place out. The...
Read moreGive it a shot, you won’t regret it! Very homey store and a personable shop. Haven't experienced anything that felt normal since my move from Canada. It was my first time visiting this location, I was referred by a friend. I usually go to P.B and not had the best luck finding things esp fresh and good conditioned products. Stuff there is usually old or expired, very packed and pressuring.. I dread going. I order things online to avoid shopping until I need to. SO I am extremely happy I found this place!!! The owner was very professional and courteous, actively helping at the register, restaurant, and store. Helped me find things as well. I’m so happy again to find this place, it’s got everything I need and is reasonably priced as well. I am expecting so I also asked if there was any tiffin service he may know about and was able to help with that too! The last thing that I was very happy to hear about was that they sell goat and get fresh meat twice a week. This is my go to store from now onward for the one stop shop and for friendly service!...
