I enjoy Popeyes chicken most of the time, but the Popeyes on Ambleside Drive in Fishers could use a bit more training in the areas of customer service and product knowledge. My daughter and I arrived at the location in the Drive-thru and began to place our order. We ordered two of the Popcorn Chicken Dinners which includes the popcorn chicken, a side, and a biscuit only. Having never had this before I specified MILD. The worker, a male, quickly rattled off some unintelligible words. I asked him to repeat it and soon found out that he was asking what sides did we want. I told him that we both wanted cole slaw. He then quickly rattled off another unintelligible question. I apologized and said I just canât understand what you are saying. I was then able to hear his next phrase which was simply, âjust drive around to the window!â These words dripped with impatience and annoyance. My daughter and I looked at each other and just shook our heads. We got to the window and I apologized once again and asked him what he was saying. He promptly and unapologetically asked, âwhat sauces do you want?!â We asked for the types of sauces were available and he gave me a look that pierced my soul. He took a deep breath and quickly named the sauces. We chose, he handed us our food and without even a small smile sent us on our way. Oh yes, he did softly say, âthank you.â We got home and were so excited to try the popcorn chicken mild only to bite into spicy chicken! I tried calling the store, but the phone number on the receipt is wrong! I googled the number, asked for the manager and told him that we got spicy chicken instead of mild. He assured me that mine and my daughterâs taste buds were mistaken. âPopcorn chicken only comes mild,â he stated in a matter of fact tone. I continued to plead my case, and finally I think that he just wanted me to stop talking. He told me to do something with the receipt, (his words were also unintelligible) and he would give me another dinner. I said okay because I was just tired of dealing with everything and hung up. I said all of this to tell future customers, go inside of the restaurant so that you can hopefully understand what youâre being asked and you can check your food before you leave!    Read moreThe only reason this got 1 star instead of 0 is because the food was pretty good. Went here for the first (and last) time a couple of weeks ago. Visited for lunch on a week day. Wasn't busy and I walked right up to the counter. I stood there for at least 3 minutes before anyone acknowledged me or took my order. Ordered the 2 piece meal - pretty straight forward. After 15 minutes (yes 15) my food came out, but it was incorrect and they game me some sort of chicken finger basket. It took another 15 minutes to get the correct food. 15 minutes to get two pieces of chicken at a chicken restaurant. I'm a pretty patient person when it comes to fast food type service - they can't always be fast. However, this was different, it took forever and the folks working didn't seem to care. There was no apology, no communication while I was waiting letting me know what the hold up was or anything. This is just flat out poor customer service - beyond poor honestly. My experience wasn't that unique as others who came in were waiting insane amounts of time as well. And to top it all off there was a malfunction with the fountain drink unit and it was literally spilling liquid onto the floor. There was no clean up while I sat there and ate, so again, really poor and indifferent customer service. I couldn't imagine what this place is like when it is actually busy.

   Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Went to the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchenâ in 9403 Ambleside Drive, Fishers Indiana to order for the family. There was one car behind me and nobody in front. I ordered a 12 piece family meal for all 6 of us and asked for it to be all mild dark meat. I was rudely told that I can get what they have or wait 15 minutes because it is a custom order. I went inside and noticed that there was all kinds of mild chicken ready but was told that it was not for custom orders and I would have to wait. Spoke to the manager and was told the same thing. Ridiculous that I have to wait 15 minutes for chicken that is already done. There were no patrons inside so they could have given me that chicken and cook more for the "standby" rack. All I wanted was dark meat (which is cheaper than white meat by the way yet it's the same price). This is the second time I have had issues with this store. Last time there was no chicken available AT ALL! Nevertheless, I went to KFC and they had my order in a few minutes with no hassle, no rudeness, and exactly what I wanted. Some serious changes or training needs to be done in this store because other customers have also left bad reviews on the google recommendations. Then again, the manager...
