Puccini’s Geist has been a favorite spot of ours since moving to Fishers over 5 years ago. The food is good, price is reasonable, and the atmosphere is laid-back. We visit here often and always bring family and friends when they’re in town visiting.
Now, why the 1 star review you may ask?
On Monday, July 15 my husband and I took my parents for dinner. Food was great, and our server was busy when it was time to pay the check. So, my dad took the check to the counter to pay while a different cashier was standing there. Upon hearing that my dad needed to pay, the cashier goes to our server and tells her the “old guy” needs to pay.
My dad hears the exchange and confronts the cashier, whose response was that she didn’t know what else to call him. So in a matter of minutes, my dad was BOTH insulted and charged for our dinner.
I visited the restaurant on Tuesday, July 16 to speak with a manager regarding the experience. At that time, Josh was the manager on duty. I explained the situation and was told he had heard the servers talking about the exchange, and he would let his manager, Sullivan, know about the situation when we worked on Wednesday, July 17.
Today, Wednesday, July 17, I visited the restaurant to speak with manager Sullivan. Sullivan was there, and when I asked if he had heard about the experience he said he had. When I asked what the resolution would be, I was informed he planned to speak with the offending cashier on her shift today and she would either be reprimanded or terminated, and that yet ANOTHER manager, Devin, would possibly come in to speak with her as well.
Now, I’m not leaving reviews trying to get free things, but at NO point has anyone offered to get my phone number, have the ACTUAL upper manager or owner contact me, refund AT LEAST my dad’s meal, or the like.
I’m hoping that this will MAYBE get a response. I do not want to contact a generic Puccini’s email as suggested to my parents’ reviews.
I do not want anyone else’s family to suffer this kind of disrespect at a local establishment, and hope that the true management of Puccini’s Geist handles the situation appropriately. Until then, our business...
Read moreWe have been going to Puccini's for years! Last night we had an awful experience and the place seemed to be run by all teenagers. We could not find a manager or adult. We were a family of 6 adults, 1 toddler and 1 newborn. We were seated by the hostess desk towards the window and drink area. Two servers (a young girl server and a teen male server) ran in to eachother right at our table and salad dressing went FLYING. Ranch dressing ALL OVER the diaper bag, down our daughter's chair, alllllllll over the floor-----the entire salad and part of another salad---all over---plus Vingt. dressing all over the floor as well. Our waitress, ONLY, apologized but the two teens that created the mess never apologized. Instead, the one teen girl, took a rag and used her foot to wipe up the dressing ALL over the floor. She did not wipe it up...she SPREAD it. NOT one of those teens apologized. I get that it was an accident---but when you make that much of a mess, and it is all over a customers bag (dripping in to the bag! AND running down the back of her chair...) you stop and look them in the eye and apologize. The teen girl looked put out and the male server never helped her with ANY of the mess. I was shocked. The floor was slippery, messy and then let's talk about the dressing all over the chair and the diaper bag. I was beyond disappointed. Again, we have been coming here for YEARS and never had this bad of an experience. WHO runs this place?????? Sunday evening...
Read moreWe show up at 7:54 and they wouldn't sit us cuz they closed at 8:00 we drove out of our way and fast just to try to get there in time and they had a bunch of people inside and outside so they should've let us eat there we told them we had just spent the day at the Columbus zoo and we were trying to get to puccinis in time cuz we knew they closed at 8 cuz of the holiday and we got there before 8 and they wouldn't give us the time of day which we didn't think was right we would've understood if they didn't have any business or if it would've been 759 so we definitely won't go to that location ever again! They even made us wait a few minutes before telling us that they wouldn't sit us cuz they were closing soon people come into jimmy John's or get deliveries at the last minute and we still wait on them so I don't think that's right that they wouldn't wait on us i know it's not cool to show up at the last minute cuz I don't like it when it is done to me either but like I said we were trying to get there as fast as possible so that wasn't right anyways we won't go...
