Saxony Pizzeria — Restaurant in Fishers

To those who have had a good experience at Saxony I am glad your experience was much better than mine was yesterday.

This was very upsetting. The first time I came here the food was excellent. The service on the other hand was upsetting, but I overlooked the service last time. Well that has changed. My partner and I went to Saxony Pizzeria last night for our date night. We enjoy the small, local feel that this place provides.

Well once we were seated the waitress took over 30 mins to get out drink orders I had a beer and my partner ordered a bloody Mary and another 25 mins for our drinks which my partner did not get her Bloody Mary because they were out of Bloody Mary mix. We finally ordered the battered chicken wings after another 15 which took another 30 or so mins to get to our table. During that time my partner and I had watched a cook go into their bathroom with his apron on. I have worked in many kitchens and this is a no go when it comes to food safety .

Finally when we received our check the Bloody Mary was still on the check and we kindly asked to speak to a manager. The owner of Saxony came up and I explained the situation with the check and how upset we were with the service of this place. This man did not want to hear it and shrugged it off by giving me a 10 dollar gift card for the next time we come in. The entire event just told me that this individual does not care about his customers and only wants to bribe them with coming back after having poor service. This place needs to look at who they are training and make sure that the ones who are working do their jobs correctly.

After getting home after a couple of hours I ended up getting terribly sick from the oil soaked wings from Saxony. I was once going to be a returning customer for this local place, but after yesterday they have lost a customer.

My wife and I decided to try this place out for dinner tonight with the kids . We were seated quickly even though it seemed very busy. Our waitress was very nice. We ordered wings for an appetizer and the food came out almost immediately after we were served the wings, this is a real pet peeve of mine, you should have ample time to finish your appetizer before your food comes out. The wings aboutabout av in my opinion, they were not very crispy and they were light on the sauce. My daughter actually really liked them so that is why I have them an average rating. For dinner my wife and I ordered the 50/50 burger without a bun. I ordered mine medium and she ordered medium rare. Our waitress told us that the kitchen put a tooth pick in one so she knew which which and she couldn't remember what they told her. We checked them both and neither one was medium there was no pink in the middle of either of them. We also are not convinced that the burgers we had were correct because they did not taste like 50% bacon but the waitress insisted that they were right. My two youngest ages 5 and 9 ordered the Mac and cheese off the kids menu and it was very bland to the point that neither kid liked it. My oldest daughter had the buffalo chicken sandwich and she liked it. I asked to speak with the manager and she came out and took the Mac and cheese off of our order bittreally seemed to have no concern for believing that we were served the wrong burgers and that one was not cooked the way it was ordered. We continue to try Saxony Pizzeria and always say we will not come back, then we say one more time. Needless to say, we are done. I do not even know where to begin with the issues that continue. Bathrooms, always gross and never tended to. One would think that would be easy since they are never busy and the staff is always sitting around at a table talking. Service, there is not way to even describe how that has been, but this this last visit on Sunday did it for us. Walked in about 5 people at the bar. bar was cover in glasses at one end, tables in the bar had not been cleaned off, food, trash, glasses every where. But the staff was just hanging out when we walked in and it was never once cleaned in the hour we were there. The bartender was drunk and using foul language that I will not repeat and that went on the entire time. The server we had was clueless on taking our order, took us going to the bar our self to get our drink order, which was a beer and a coke, 15 mins we waited and then the bartender says we are out of that. Tried a 2nd beer to order, sorry we are out of that. The server at one point decide that she was just going to lay down on the little platform at the end of the bar and play on her phone.
