The Good: The food

The Bad: The service. (See amendment below)

Let's start with the bad. There is a short-haired, middle-aged woman there who often works the register, takes orders, and serves. Unfortunately, she really has no business working at the front of the restaurant. She isn't particularly personable. At my most recent visit, I asked repeatedly for extra napkins. She wouldn't respond until I stood up and flagged her down, only to discover she had earbuds on. She played loud Youtube clips on her phone, amidst an otherwise very peaceful ambience, and when I said thank you/goodbye to her, her response was 'Yeah.' There is another younger woman who also takes orders, who is much more personable and professional. I have a feeling that the older woman may own/run the restaurant.

8/24 Amendment: the service has greatly improved since my initial review. This restaurant is wholly worthy of 5 stars now.

That said, the good greatly outweighs the bad. This is the best Thai restaurant in the roughly within the ~25 mile radius that I've sampled. I usually order things at medium, and the spice level probably could be pushed a little harder, but the flavors are spot on, and the food quality is outstanding. Can't lose with their Pad Thai, which features enough fresh, crisp veggies to offset the soft noodles. Their curries are awesome- the spicy green curry is a real winner. Good rice, brown or white, and the appetizers are very, very good (salad rolls and Golden Tofu are killer).

Prices are on the high side for Thai food. Expect to pay about $50-60 plus tip for a meal to feed 2-3 comfortably. Considering the quality of food you're getting, I believe its worth it.

I don't like to be overly critical of- or put down- a local, family-run business, and I always tip more than appropriately, but I do wish they would make their service better. It would easily knock my rating up to 5 stars. As it stands, a solid 4 stars...

I first experienced Thai Food in Muncie, fell in love on the spot. Went so much that I tried everything on the menu MINUS curry "this" curry "that" just not my thing. Since living there, I have never found a Pad Thai dish that just send me over the moon since Muncie, I was disappointed. Driving down 146th and Olio Road I noticed Thai Garden, hmmm, I pulled over, read reviews, peeped the menu, saw LUNCH SPECIAL under $10 saaaaaay whaaaaaaaaaaat!? It was lunch time so I made a quick detour and Thai Garden it was. We were immediately greeted and seated by a lovely young lady. The lunch special came with a salad, a spring roll, soup and a main entree. Wow! Needless to say our first visit there was a hit. Today we visited again, not seasoned guests but we've certainly been a fair share of times. Lunch special had increased my $1, still worth it to have lunch for 2, just over $20. Chicken Pad Thai was my entree, level hot, it was spot on and delicious, very consistent each time, salad is basic but still fresh and crisp, just accompaniment and meal, the spring roll and dipping sauce good, not piping hot or as crisp this time, still good, soup was room temperature but had a good flavor, not enough for me to finish it though. My love had Chicken Pad Priew Wann, a sweet and spicy dish, heat level Thai hot, oh was it hot, but good, guess what was even better, mixing my Pad Thai into the Pas Priew Wann sauce. Yummy!! Our lovely host today was very personable with a lovely sense of humor, she had jokes, Loved it! We were in and out without a hitch, we'll return when we have a...

I had to take a moment and explain that this was the last time that I will frequent your establishment. I have had the worse experience ever! First upon arriving I waited for a good 7 min just for someone to speak with me. I swear I have tried with this restaurant because the food is amazing! My daughter literally loves it, but the service is terrible. I have called and placed orders and been told when I arrive it’s not even there, I have waited on service over and over when doing either online or in person. No apology, compensation, nothing. I had to wait an additional 25-35 min. Again no apology, no attempt at good customer service. Just absolutely disappointing.

I see people in the restaurant just waiting, some clearly frustrated. Perhaps short staffed? I always see just one person working the door and server. I get it if they are but no apologies for the wait, no I am sorry for the delay, nothing!! Their only saving grace with me is the the fact that they have such good Thai food. They used to be so amazing from a customer service standpoint that I would even recommend them to my hotel guest, but no I can’t anymore. There is a need to do better. I frequent this restaurant quite a lot and it just keeps getting worse. I just don’t know anymore. It’s really very...

Easily top 3 Thai places I have been to in central Indiana. Up there with Siam Square and Thai Smile 2 for me. Pork was buttery and perfectly tender. Red Curry had a lot of flavor. Hot was perfect for me and I can handle a decent amount of spice. I’m not the type that gets Thai hot just because I’m eating Thai, only on a rare occasion and idk if I would have been able to handle that. Green Curry was delicate and light. Green Curry Mild was still pretty spicy, which it usually is at most places for those who aren’t aware, but just FYI. Spring rolls were dope. Weird side note, I liked the take out packaging a lot. Felt much more green friendly to me.
