Oregano's — Restaurant in Flagstaff

This really makes me Sad....

We are from Phoenix and the Original Oregano's is our Go To Spot !

We recently moved to Flagstaff and Oregano's is only a Block from our House !

We've Tried 3 times 😭😭😭😭

All 3 Times we've been let down Very Very Hard....

1st time we got a Shrimp Pasta and the Shrimp wasn't Cleaned or Deveined.... I know they get their products from Shamrock and get a Frozen Shrimp that is already Cleaned for them.... But they aren't perfect and this should be picked up and noticed.... We excluded this from the Pasta and ate it but got Sick.... The GM gave us a Gift Card....

2nd Time, we got a Pizza with the Gift Card.... We waited over 40 mins for this Pizza and it was Slow in the Restaurant.... Got it home and it Was BLACK ON THE BOTTOM....

3rd Time, Well we waited a few Months and we went tonight.... Placed are order and after 30 mins the server, and I quote " Hey so um I lost the ticket thing I wrote it on can you tell me your order again" So we did.... 45 Mins.... 55 Mins.... 1 Hour.... Finally she checked on us and said it's on the way.... During this time no Bread to the Table ? No checking on our Drinks ? We ended up having to track her down and ask for some bread and refills for our Daughters water.... Eventually our Food came.... The chicken was Cold, And the Pasta was RAW ! You know when you cook too much pasta at once and in the bottom of the Pot you get that weird piece that is stuck together with like 10 other pieces.... That was the Whole Plate.... Completely inedible.... Our Daughters food did come first and was Swimming in over an inch of Oil and Butter.... We had to Drain it into a Cup.... The only Person who has their Act Together is the Bartender....

We just Left ....

The Manager said she would comp everything but not the Drink which is fine....

We will never Return to this Location.... We will never recommend this location to anybody from Phoenix....

I get it when things happen....

But 3 times is a Pattern....

Our server's unsuccessful service is not her fault it's the company's fault and her Managers inability to Train ...

Same with BOH, these issues plague this location based on the Reviews I read....

Train Train Train....

Be there for them....

Why hasn't Expo caught any of this....

Why did these Plates walk again and again....

Strangest dinning experience of my life. My wife asked " is this place beta testing human ai waitresses ? " Server wouldn't make eye contact to either of us and responded to us only in " thank you" ..very awkwardly after things you wouldn't normally say thank you too. I felt like I was guna have a reverse thank you no thank you war with this woman.

Idk..she expressed concern over our table size being small to accommodate the food we ordered. This resulted in the food coming in stages rather than how we asked for it. My appetizer and the wife's salad go together....weird. waited 30 mins for her salad after we consumed the appetizer....almost 20min for our entrée after the salad was force boxed up in to go. Ai waitresses force you to put food in Togo I guess...idk. Your table size isnt really my problem.. ive never been asked to box my food before being served my entrée. The whole experience was weird and my significant other noticed it as well.

Small table , large plates..neat business model. ✔️

Regardless, I left with my plate empty and stomach full. Cant complain , cooks only cook when expo hits the " fire" button.....not the cooks fault. New ownership of this brand has slightly changed some things but the quality to the $$ still feels right. Creepy glitchy AI waitresses won't stop me from enjoying a Diablo chicken ever now and then. If the hotels are full go somewhere else. Dont compete with the tourism if youre a local. Want a great experience??? Go early in the a.m on a Wednesday. 😉

Would have taken pics for this review if the food wasn't in a Togo box on the table next to me. ....I can't even make this up and this review isnt satire! Maybe next time we'll skip the in-store experience and just order Togo....since that's how all my food ended...

Music was super loud. Finally someone turned it down. Almost had the place to ourselves... Not there at a busy time. Our server was nice but obviously had other things on his mind. He was often standing and talking to other staff. Sometimes holding my drink which I was waiting for.... Saw it...couldn't get though while he was chatting people up. Meanwhile I and sitting there wanting it looking at him 5 feel away... Holding it but busy talking with another person.... Who then was sympathetic to his personal problems... Heard some of it and I know I am sounding unsympathetic...I am not.... I hope his problems get better for him soon... But I just wanted to eat, drink and leave. My dish was delivered and I had to call him and ask for some grated Parm... Mostly because there was just to no sauce on mine... different than what has happened at other Oregono places. He wasn't even going to offer. I ordered a pain killer and got something that wasn't a painkiller... However is was good so..I figured he was having enough problems so I just drank what given to me. I hope everything works out for the guy. :(. You know actually I am pretty easy most of the time... Didn't really know how to rate this one. Normally liked the food... But this is on the server... Can't really say you won't have a good time. Your food maybe really good too. Hope your server is in good spirits... We are all only human ..but then again if you are laying down your hard earned cash to have an hour or two to get away from your own problems.....I hope your server is able to be on the same page.
