'Corral' is right, felt like cattle trying to walk around in this over crowded restaurant. I wish I could give less than 1 star.... While the food was actually surprising not as bad as I expected based on previous reviews I did notice a major issue with layout and logistics. They basically took the same terrible layout that 'Fire Mountain' had when they were in the same building and reused it.
The food layout also makes very little sense like previous reviews mentioned. The shrimp is on the other side of the restaurant as the cocktail sauce which makes no sense. There are also signs right in front of your face when trying to get a steak. Be prepared to stand around for 5 minutes if you want one because they somehow had none ready.
Also, the silverware is in one central location instead of separating out silverware and plates throughout the buffet area (like how Old Country Buffet does). This makes it incredibly annoying to have to walk all the way back to the same spot, especially when it is right in the main corridor for everyone in the restaurant to walk through.
The staff in the restaurant had a general demeanor of apathy and seemed to ignore my piled up plates until I was almost ready to leave. I also ran out of something to drink and the 'waitress' was nowhere to be found, so I had to walk all the way back up to the front entrance with the rest of my family to get drinks.
I would NOT recommend anyone go to...
Read moreIv always loved going to golden corral sense they opened were fire mountain use to be, because we went there regularly as well. They always had good food and great customer service, my family loves the guy who usually works the grill cause he cooks a good steak and is funny and personable. How ever a few months ago when we went the steak tasted different, like they changed the seasoning on it. We figured maybe they ran out or something and went again a few weeks ago. This time I didn’t even get to see if they changed the seasoning back or not, because when I went up they had a lady running the grill whoIi had never seen before, which wasn't a problem. What was how ever was when I saw that all the grilled steaks were on a pan to the side with a bunch of liquid, and it wasn't just liquid from the steak, cuz it was more than they would produce, either that or it was from steaks prior. Idk if it was to keep what were grilled steaks from drying out, but it grossed me out so much I refused to eat any of them. Idk why anyone would take a grilled steak with char marks and sit it in a pan with liquid for any other reason. Anyway the money I spent for me to eat was wasted as i really only go for the steak. I'm glad my toddler got to eat so thankfully he was free but idk if I'm willing to go back. Which is sad because I love this...
Read moreMy husband, my sister and I stopped for the breakfast buffet. We had planned our trip there because we drive an hour to go there. We were excited to go. We've been going here for a few years even tho its a drive. Today was the worst experience we've ever had. There were ATLEAST 9 empty pans on the buffett and atleast 6 pans that just had scrapeings, that's just what I counted. The bacon was raw and way undercooked, I heard several people complain about it, one gentleman asked if he could get some bacon that was fully cooked and was completely ignored. The sausage links were stone cold, not even a little warm. The so called hashbrowns were covered in grease and raw uncooked potatoes. Scrambled eggs were runny and not cooked all the way. Breakfast pizza had been on there so long it was shriveled up. I waitress for the whole entire restaurant because she said they didnt schedule anyone to help because they didnt think it would be busy. So we paid full price for a buffet that was empty and most of the food undercooked and nasty. The 3 of us have been sick to our stomach and have the runs since eating there. We won't be back, they are going to get someone...
