Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Flint Charter Township

Normally we enjoy coming here. The last 2 times have left a lot to be desired. Today has made us decide it will be a very long time, if ever, that we return here. We had a group of four, one of which was a toddler. We asked to be seated in a booth we were taken to a booth and told to hold on for a few minutes. A different hostess came over and moved us to the booth next to it and then we were able to sit down. no big deal a little bit of confusion. When our waitress finally came and took our drink orders I placed the order for the toddlers food and asked for it to be brought out as soon as it was ready. She said that there was a button she could push to make it come out like an appetizer and we could do our entire order now. So we place our entire order. Over five minutes went by and then she brought out drinks. Some of them are not correct and she didn’t even bring out all of them. It was not busy they were empty tables everywhere. We let it go because we didn’t feel like having any issues and just wanted to get our food at this point and go. Three of us ordered salads with our meal. And then of course there was a kids meal. Two ladies came in and were sat a few tables behind us. After 20 minutes went by and we never received salads nor the kids meal and the two ladies had received their salads and their dinner and we’re almost done eating, I got up went to the hostess stand and asked how to pay for our beverages so that we could just leave. We had a couple minute discussion about where the table was even though the girl asking was the girl that sat us and I pointed directly to the table and described the picture it was sitting under . All three hostesses stated that they would try to locate our server so that they can get things sorted out. I told them good luck. As I walked back to the table I noticed all the tables I pass in our area they had come in after us were eating their dinners. I picked up my family and we left. We drove 30 minutes to come here and we drove 30 minutes back both ways we drove hungry. This has left a terrible taste or mouse for coming here and driving...

9/17/25 - decided to try them again today. the herb crusted chicken was excellent and hot. I recommend. The server was also pleasant. The porterhouse - Tbone was cold and dry, no juices flowing out when it was cut, did not taste freshly cooked. The order was for medium well but that did not used to mean dry and cold. Maybe it sat for a really long time; Or maybe it was leftover from last night. I think this steak is one of the most expensive items on the menu and the presentation of it was not good today. People at my table were hungry so they ate it with a bunch of A1 sauce. We don't know for sure why the tbone-porterhouse was this way today. We told the server who told the manager who asked if they could heat up the steak for us. We declined. Also, I am not a fan of the way the bread was cooked today - cooked so hard it was a crust on it. The guy helping the server bring food was really nice but seemed to struggle understanding the items on our ticket. I reminded him of the missing items and he went back twice to get the green beans and mashed potatoes. One trip for each. It was a bit odd. Not sure why that was hard to remember. Maybe its a staffing problem in the kitchen. Maybe everybody here is new. Maybe we'll give this place another try next year.

5/29/2024 - Used to love the pork chop dinner here. Got it again tonight to go and once again the peppercorn sauce was left out and the pork chops had no seasoning. But ironically I got an extra cup of brown gravy. Was that to sub for the peppercorn sauce? This happened a couple weeks ago as well. I called the manager about it. We are here on Mothers Day. The service was 0/10. We came as a large party expecting some delays since we had 9 people on a holiday. They seated us at two separate booths with two separate servers. Our sever was AJ and he disappeared several times. We could not even order our food at the same time because our server was nowhere to be found but our other table was able to put their order in with Ryenne and she was great. She should have waited both booths. We waited forever for our bar drinks. We waited an hour and a half for our food. We were told they’re “looking for it” when we asked about our food. No tartar sauce was brought out with the catfish. Loaded mashed potatoes were missing from one meal. When she asked for her potatoes, she was brought a loaded baked potato. No one even bothered to check the order to get her the right potato. Our table was not cleared of salad plates even once until we flagged down a busboy ourselves. Bread baskets were left on our table the entire time we sat here. When we complained to the manager, she argued with my aunt about our wait time because it wasn’t “exactly 2 hours”. My appetizer didn’t come out for about 35 minutes despite ordering it with my drink when we first sat down and asking about it twice. It was supposed to be complimentary for the wait but I was still charged for it. 10% discount only took $4 off of a $92 bill. Won’t even waste time trying to fix the bill. I don’t want to be here until midnight. 0/10 would not recommend. Even on a holiday, this is ridiculous. Our server AJ still hasn’t been seen in 30-40 minutes. Ryenne is trying to serve her own tables and his and that is ridiculous! It’s 5:22 and we’re waiting to get our cards back to leave. We arrived at 3:00 with a reservation. Never...
