You know the first time I walked into a five guys establishment, I was very impressed with not only the food , but of very concept of witch they had based their business plan on. Great food , great name , open grill area for viewing of freshness being prepared in your presence, Now , where they lost me was , there over preporationend sizes , accompanied with a inflatable price tag , I have no problem affording to eat here , as I am very established financially. But as the food is good , I cant justify spending 40.00 + dollars for a meal for two , knowing that I can spend less at a very nice steak house having wait staff serve me at my table very carefully, bringing me fresh rolls from the oven to get started vs peanuts, and that my guest and I will choose from a diverse menu, choosing not only a delicious steak , or what have you. And a couple sides of my choosing. And drinks , and will arrive at the same amount, having eaten a much better meal, more nutritious, more choices, better atmosphere. My thoughts of five guys linger . I still like all the before mentioned complements I gave at the beginning of this post , and I do believe it's a good business model, but, I also believe that to keep this a great place to eat now and then , there needs to be a reduction in there price point. I know that they are known for their larger portions. So if they want to keep this there draw , then I suggest lowering prices a bit not to chase off people who cant justify price , or reduce portions and price to reflect this . As well as a marketing campaign to support this action. I am not in marketing, although I sure I would be great at it , I would think with an add campaign presenting there intention for reduced pricing, this would generate a increased amount of return customers as well as a higher amount of word of mouth new customers clamoring to get this bigger better deal that they heard about at 5 guys. Read moreIt was my first time there so I was a little shocked at not necessarily the sticker price but the fact that there were no combo options.
I ordered a double cheeseburger with ketchup and pickles and a large fry and a medium drink and it came to $23.
Now some people might think that's expensive but trust me the food taste wise was worth it!
I just wish there was a combo option. I think we're just embreaded. That's how you order. I also wish there was more seating. I was with somebody and we're a little bit shorter and the only thing left where those high tables in our. We had trouble reaching the seat to get up there.
There was a sign either on the door or on the wall they said they were voted America's best, fries.
I think it is important to note about their fries. If you've ever gone to a county fair or a festival, that's the kind of fries they have!
Also noticed for condiments they had the traditional items ketchup, but they also had vinegar so you could add vinegar to your fries like you were at a...
Read moreWas in the mood for a burger, so I stopped by. Worst experience I've ever had, may not come back. First off the guy taking my order was really friendly, but was super filthy!!!! Looked as if it hadn't been washed in week and he just wiped his hand all over the front and back of it. After I was super grossed out by him and thank God he wasn't preparing the food. Ordered a double bacon burger and fries, which with out the drink was over 20$. The burger was hot!!!, and smashed pretty bad in my bag and the fries were all small pieces less than an inch long and soggy. You've got to do better if you want a customer like myself to return. I don't mind paying the price for hot fresh food, but feel as if I wad ripped off. Hate to say it but probably should have went to Halo burger, I just don't like the fries there. Might and might not be back . Thanks for the let down, please...
