My family and I have been dining in as well as ordering here for decades but lately noticed a decline in the accuracy and quality of our orders. I've ordered hashbrowns well done with my omelets everytime but the hashbrowns are never well done. Just came in recently for to-go for a half order of onion rings and a reuben with extra sauerkraut, but received a full order, after double checking in-person if it was half- and received a minimal amount of sauerkraut for $15. Sad to see what was once a welcoming establishment become careless cooks and waitresses who look at people like they just kicked their dog.
Edited in response @ owner, I will gladly take my business elsewhere as however cheap you advertise your undercooked food and dry salted meat, my money is worth more unspent. You have shown time again that the pride in your business supercedes representing honor and grace within our community by denying the opportunity to humbly rectify your wrongs. Update your menu availability and boost the morale as well as competence of your employees. It is a shame to look down upon a classic American coney island turning into hotdog water in which mirrors the state of...
Read moreThis is going to be a little long review, but I think it needs to be said about Pete ( owner ) and John's Coney Restaurant. My son Addam brought me some Stuffed green pepper Soup from Johns. When I had a cold. Not long after that, I ended up in the Hospital having Brain surgery. Home for a couple weeks and all I could think about was that soup. I would call every week to see if the you had it. ,Well my Son eats there a lot and mentioned to Pete that all I could think about was that soup. To my surprise, Pete told my Son to stop by on a Thursday and he would have the soup. I couldn't believe this person who never met me, made this out of the goodness of his heart. I think I cried for 20 minutes,.I will never forget the kindness by Pete , his family and staff at John's. That says slot about this Restaurant. I'm now hooked on their Onion rings, Coney's and Chicken n dumplings too. But the Stuffed green pepper Soup will always hold a special place in my ❤️. I only wish I could hug all of you at John's. Ty for this act of kindness that I will carry itwith me forever. I'm truly blessed ty...
Read moreI have been wanting to try John's Coney Island for several years and today was my first trip in. It seems like a small diner from the outside. There are approximately 25-30 booths and tables. The waitstaff was continously cleaning during my visit. My lunch today (pictured) was a Flint Coney and an order of Homemade Onion Rings with a glass of ice water. T My waitress warned me that the onion rings were a large order. She didn't lie. It was a a large order of the best onion rings ever. I mean the order of O-rings at John's is the world standard and what a person dreams about when they think of giant fresh homemade onion rings. The coney was good sporting a line of mustard and generously topped with diced onion. My glass was never empty. My waitress was personable, friendly and knew the menu well. The manager was on site amd very friendly to speak to as well. I would absolutely recommend stopping for a meal here at John's. I only give 4/5 stars because I reserve 5 stars for a really fancy quality dining experience. However, I have faith that John's will not disappoint you. Bon...
