If you are tired of the old bar scene:
-with music so loud you'd think you were in Guantanamo desperately trying to hold in your nations secrets. with people singing karaoke to the tune of a cat on fire -With a dingy environment that feels like they haven't open the doors since they banned smoking inside.....
Then Churchill's is for you!!
Churchill's has terrific space inside, you aren't on top of the regular drunks while you just had to satisfy a nasty hankering for bar food. There is plenty of room for both of you, the egotistical drunk rambling about his business bravado and his enormous amount of intelligence won't bother your party of eight seated a good distance away.
I haven't had any food that is over the top delightful- Churchill's could definitely improve here, it does satisfy but won't leave me daydreaming with a sweaty mouth to come back. It's adequate
The drinks are similar, they will do the job. The drinks are priced for the average working fellow, if you are looking for an upscale experience and no chance of encountering a lower class knuckle dragger I'd suggest going to Brighton or Da Eduardo's in Grand Blanc.
Service here is probably the low point, going back to the Guantanamo bay reference I'd say the guy being tortured for info can tell that his captors really don't want to be there either...
That's the vibe (as the youngsters would say) I get from Churchill's, its a good place to spend some time chatting with an old flame, new flame or just your high school football team from 30 years ago reminiscing...
Read moreIf you're into trendy places for a business lunch or hot date that don't dig crackerbarrel, then spend your extra hard earned cash here. These places are open for our city high rollers, and I'm not going back anytime soon. I here the drinks are great and change with the season or holiday and the bar tenders seem to be well trained and enjoy their jobs and know about the city. The food was over priced...I know....I know I'm not poor, but I do live In the hood. You can get the same quality at most coney Islands as you can see 18$ for a bacon cheeseburger and fries! Rally's is down the road go there. I paid 10-12$ for a kid sized "carnivore " artisan pizza. As you can see, I think the carnivore ate the meat off my tortinos. And the service was poor. I needed to loosen up my date she was served when we were seated, took our order, and brought drinks and didn't see her again till we waited for the bill she finally came back to ask her if she needed a drink? 20 minutes ago! I had a different waitress get drinks because we had never seen ours and when we did she gave us the wrong bill! 84$ for bacon CB/fries,Kid size meatless meat, pizza, and cheese curds. Oh no, you didn't! The issue was taken care of without any problem. we paid our still overpriced 48$ and a sober date that I now have to entertain! Unless you're a college kid on the town with a hot date spending mom and dads money or a city official looking to loosen up some lawyers, this is not the place you're looking for. Hello...
Read moreSo I ordered online and when I got there, they did not get my order which is no big deal. I saw the manager speaking with the bartender about it and she said oh he’ll get his money back. It will never post and that’s fine but she actually made eye contact with me and never come over and said hey sorry which is no big deal but that’s a common courtesy. Then I ordered a pizza and some cheese curds and ordered a beer and a shot with a Coca-Cola back. They brought me a full Coca-Cola and charged me two dollars for that which I did not complain about. I sat there for 32 minutes. No big deal and I would’ve probably drink 2 to 3 more shots but not one bartender came up and asked me if I needed another drink or a shot. I did get up and attempt to order one and finally gave up and a super nice girl said hey I work here. Do you need anything when she was off duty at that point I was so disgusted I said no thank you. Then I get my small pizza in a to go box is in a Styrofoam to go box. It’s not even cut up on three bars in Tennessee and I don’t do mini bad reviews. This is the worst restaurant service I’ve ever been at but I still tip the bartender good And it’s not all of their fault it is just completely bad management and not really caring about your customers. I hope you change this because you have a wonderful place and your food is actually pretty good if...
