Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Florence

Spent $40 for the family's dinner and the nastiness you see in the photos was what I got from this establishment for my money. I could give credit for an honest mistake, but all of that putrid lettuce was covered on top with a thin layer of fresh lettuce.

The salad looked great. The top was a nice looking thin layer that covered what you see in the photos. That leads me to believe it was intentionally done to cover up the slimy brown, wilted green , and translucent garbage underneath. There wasn't just a small area or layer under the fresh top. Every bit under the thin layer looked like it should have been thrown out 3 days prior.

If your food handling of salad is this bad, what about the chicken that came with the salad, or the chicken strips I also ordered for dinner? There wasn't a chance in hell I'd eat the chicken after the petri dish of e coli / botulism you sold me under the name "crispy chicken salad". I've never done this before, but definitely reporting this place. Disgusting, nasty, and you knew what you gave me because it was obvious you tried to hide it. Not sure how you haven't killed someone yet, but you need to be ashamed and kept away from any food related business. You took the money I worked hard to earn and gave me this to feed myself and my family. Need to update hours. Signs posted opening at 10:30 but staff did not open until 11:00. I arrived at 10:30 as instructed when I placed my cake order and as displayed on the signs on the front door. I waited outside until 10:40 and then decided to call. Staff said "I don't know why our sign says we open at 10:30 but we are not opening until 11:00". When they did open and I asked for my cake, it was not done and they had to make it. This place has gone down hill over the past few years. I don't know if management or owners have changed but it's a mess inside each time we visit. Very dirty floors/counters and mold can be seen on the fountain drink/ice dispenser. They also charge you for sauce with your meals now. I am just glad my children are old enough that DQ is not a destination anymore. I drove by here at 9:34pm on a Sunday the hours of operation say open until 10pm. They locked the doors as I drove up and parked watching me through the glass. I saw three employees all male, two were dancing behind the counter one with no shirt on in a tank top the other in a flannel chest showing shirt wide open. The third was the one who locked the doors, as he spun around he picked up a rag and wiped off what looked like a fountain machine. I understand some franchises are independently owned but the company name Dairy Queen is what they are representing and this was a poor representation of any establishment that serves food. Fast food or a sit down five star restaurant I just don't think certain things are acceptable. I would avoid this location at all cost.
