I recently visited this donut shop, and while I was excited to try something new, the experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, the service was frustratingly poor. The staff didn’t offer any guidance or explanation about how their process worked, which made me feel completely out of place as a first-time customer. Instead of welcoming me or offering help, they looked at me like I should already know what to do. It was as if my confusion was an inconvenience to them, which was both unprofessional and off-putting.
I ended up ordering a dozen donuts. One unique aspect is that they "make" the donuts in front of you, which adds an element of freshness and customization. However, it’s important to know that these are cake donuts, not traditional yeast donuts. While they were visually appealing and clearly crafted with care, the taste and texture didn’t work for me. I’m simply not a fan of cake donuts, and that’s a matter of personal preference.
For others, this place might be worth a visit if you enjoy cake donuts or are looking for something a bit different from your usual donut experience. The presentation is nice, and the customization could appeal to people who value those details. But for me, the lack of warmth and guidance from the staff combined with my dislike for cake donuts means I won’t be returning.
Customer service is such a vital part of the dining experience, and this shop missed the mark. A simple explanation or a friendlier attitude could have made a huge difference, but unfortunately, it fell flat. While the donuts may appeal to a specific audience, the overall experience left a bad taste in my mouth—both literally and...

For at least a few months after they opened when I'd go and order some donuts they'd pull freshly fried donuts straight out of the fryer and they were delicious. I had been recommending this place to everyone based on that. However, when someone special was visiting me I was raving about this place and took them there. Fryer looked off and they were pulling donuts off a shelf. They were cold and dry and it just wasn't that great. A family member finally got around to trying them based on how good I had talked them up and texted me that they also weren't fresh and were cold and dry. It's sad because this was the only place that made donuts fresh to order...
Read moreOakbrook was closed, and I told my kids I would get them doughnuts. Total unimpressed. 1.50$ for a baby doughnut. It was not special and just didn't make any of us big ppl pleased at all. Waste of money. 6 and 5 yr old liked them bc they were small and had a cute topping of either colored marshmallows or sprinkles. Would absolutely not go back. I'm not paying that much for tiny doughnuts unless someone trained in France is making them because then I'd be paying probably double or more, but it'd be amazing Wish I had gotten instead the Kroger glazed dozen for 4$ instead 20$! Any stars they get is for the service. Service is attentive...
