Poké Town — Restaurant in Florence

I had my first Poké bowl in Wilmington, North Carolina recently. It was absolutely fantastic. Ever coming back to Florence. I was excited to hear that we got a new pokey themed restaurant. I went over for dinner the other day and chose a choose your own bowl with all of the toppings that I had on the previous bowl in Wilmington, which I loved. I got the large, which was a good size portion. I added tuna, cucumber, edamame, egg, and mayo. I hate it, but it was absolutely lackluster. The flavor was very flat. All of the ingredients look fine, but the flavors of each of them were subdued to the point of being difficult to detect what they were. I don’t know how else to explain it. It was a super disappointment. The place is super cute on the inside, and I love the idea of having it there, but it didn’t do the dish any justice. WOW. Just wow. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cozy, welcoming atmosphere—beautiful décor, great lighting, and such a positive vibe. The staff were all super friendly, and a special shoutout goes to Jada for being incredibly helpful and sweet! She made the whole ordering process easy and enjoyable.

The food? Absolutely delicious. I got the chicken poke bowl with sesame ginger sauce—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The veggies were fresh and delicious, the corn is amazing! The portion sizes are generous, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. It’s a great spot if you love Chipotle-style or hibachi bowls but want something healthier and more unique.

And let’s not forget the bubble waffle with homemade icing—so soft, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal.
