Wow - visiting Quincey's was like taking a trip back to 20 years ago. We were concerned about eating here while visiting Florence, SC because when we stepped up to our turn to pay going in, the cashier looked at us but didn't didn't acknowledge or greet us while she was opening a pack of pennies and a pack of dimes into the cash drawer. She would look us in the eye occasionally but didn't say anything, didn't smile or let us she would be with us soon - not friendly at all. This went on for about 5 minutes or more while the line backed up behind us. We had just witnessed her be very pleasant to the family she rang up just before us. Finally, she closed her drawer, pulled a receipt off and looked at us again. She didn't say a word to us. My husband ordered, she still never said a word to us. She handed him a receipt. He started to walk off with our tray but I said, "wait, she has to give us plates." She just looked at me, no movement. I said, "may we have the plates?" She handed 4 plates over, again without a word but acted like we were annoying her.
The food and waitress was excellent. Manager, look what I've wrote about first. Poor customer service experience and then the food quality. Restaurant dining is about experience as much as it is about quality food. I'll probably forget how good the food was yesterday as I dine at other restaurants over the next few weeks into months but I will NEVER forget how my husband and I were treated at this location by your cashier, Danell 3/12/2022 at 13:37:39 on terminal **9639. That memory will linger with us longer than what the food was like. Please make sure your front line folks are pleasant and acknowledge ALL of your customers. I will avoid visiting this restaurant for 6 months just so my money does not contribute to her pay check knowing how she treated us.
Other than her poor attitude and lack of customer service or communication, we would love to visit again when we come thru Florence as long as she isn't there. I will update my review upon my next visit.
** I advise any other customers to report poor customer service for this location. Lunch for 2, $38.46. Why would you pay that price to be...
Read moreI would like to share with how our dining experience this evening was.
First, after asking for sweetener for our tea twice, we finally went up to the counter to request some. A total of six employees walked right by us ( It was quite obvious that we needed something) and no one even made eye contact. After someone finally acknowledged me, our waitress magically showed up, snatched the sweetener out of the lady being helpful's hands and took it to our table. The service we received tonight was the absolute worst we have ever received after dining there for many years.
Second, the food tonight was anything but edible. The fried chicken was tough and cold, the greens weren't cooked completely and were very chewy and the pork chop was like shoe leather. I could barely cut it and found it impossible to chew.
Last but definitely not least, the flies. There were so many flies on the inside of the window next to us that I couldn't wave my napkin at them fast enough to get them away. There was a fly strip on the front window right by one of the booths that was completely covered with dead flies. You couldn't even see the strip due to the number of flies. What a wonderful view when trying to eat a supper that we paid $60 for. To top the evening off, before we could even attempt to finish our meal, a fly landed on our table and then proceeded to flop all over it in front of us. The fly wasn't even able to fly off. Just bounced all over the table. That was the final straw. We got up and left our full plates sitting right there on the table.
This was the most disgusting visit we have had anywhere and definitely won't be back!!! Things have definitely gone downhill in the past few months which is sad as this was one of our favorite...
Read moreI have not been to this restaurant in YEARS! So our family decided to try something different for a change. Surprisingly the food was really good. We all had the buffet so as of now I can't speak on the steaks and other menu items. I was very pleased. I also did not realize that this Quincys location in Florence SC is the ONLY Quincys left in the entire US franchise (or former franchise that is). With that said I guess I can say it's a historic site as well. We went on a Sunday during lunch and the buffet was fully stocked considering the crowd. The restaurant was clean upon entry and in the seating areas. Gloves are required when getting food from the buffer. One of the waitresses in our area kept the tables and floors cleaned and vacuumed regularly. As for our waitress she only came to our table ONCE and we never saw her again until we noticed the she was sitting at a table in the back corner on her cell phone and folding silverware and napkins. She never cleaned our table off, never took any dirty plates, we never got refills on our drinks, I had to go to the kitchen area myself and ask for more plates. She stayed on the phone for at least 30 mins after we finally realized where she was. She was still on her cell phone after we left the restaurant. I'm still giving the restaurant 5 stars because I could tell that the other waitresses were very attentive to their customers so I won't let one bad apple spoil the bunch as they say. Overall this is an excellent choice for a buffet and needless to say we...
