2 stars bc our server was great. First we wait nearly 10 mins to for the host to greet us. The host actually was outside and walked in behind us 2 minutes after we arrived. Then disappeared to the back for another 5 or so minutes before coming back up (now with several guests in line) and grumbling at us. We were first in line. He said it would be 5 mins, we put our names in. Then 4 other parties that arrived after us were sat (we were a 2 person party) prior to us. I reluctantly went up to the host to inquire why its been 15 minutes and why several parties, including 2 person parties are being sat after us. Apparently our name didn't actually get entered in or something. We were sat 2 minutes later after he "cleaned" off a dirty table. The table still wasn't the cleanest but whatever. I ordered the new sunset lemonade, I think they must have been our of ingredients bc I got the purple lemonade. Refills were slow and I got my 2nd drink to go. The waiter was busy but good. I have no issues with him. He was the highlight of our experience. We order and the only thing that cane out correctly were the sides. Brisket burger was missing brisket and BBQ sauce. Chicken sandwich was missing cheese and jalapeños. The food tasted pretty decent once we got all ingredients figured out. Refills as I said were slow. It was just a bad experience. It wasn't very busy and still we were there almost 2 hours bc of all of the waiting around for a table, refills and correct food. We only asked for one refill on broccoli and chips. I don't know what was going on but we just moved closer to this Red Robin and have been to several others I'm the past. This was the worst experience. It was unfortunately for my birthday which made it more disappointing. There are two other RR about 5 minutes further driving, we will likely...
Read moreUpon deciding where to eat my Sunday afternoon meal after a weeks worth of work and some amazing football I decided to give red ribbon of Florence Kentucky a shot. I have tried other local joints such as American kitchen and bar cuisine and and have been over all please but founds some areas of lacking during these pressing times and anxious filled citizens with the disease and viruses going around. Let me just say upon entering all staff were filled masked and wearing gloves from what I could find, sanitation stations throughout the restaurant, protective seat dividers, as well as a welcoming staff that seemed and felt like was a very clean environment. Now for me I don’t mind this but I know a lot of people appreciate knowing they are safe when enjoying a meal and not a lot of places have this feeling. So right away that stood out, but honestly went in with 30$ wanted a tender burger got what was expected and then some I asked how much extra cheese cost and the very nice bartender who made stellar drink, ask for her I believe Alyssa, but said “you may not need extra” I trusted her and she did not lie the burger was juicy tender and the cheese was amazing cheddar American mix. Superb service, amazing mixed drink and a beer, the milkshake was amazing and I almost forgot to mention all you can eat side dishes which included salads, fries, and fresh or steamed veggies, amazing deal I had no idea about. Alyssa told me about it and I tried almost every side I could. Also the chefs who prepare the sides I applauded because my salads were amazing Caesar and house and they didn’t wimp out on the dressing and toppings. Walked out with no money left but my meal was only 21$, so I thought the staff deserved a healthy tip for...
Read moreMy last visit can be summarized in one word: mediocre. We went in just after they opened at 11 on a Saturday. There were only two other patrons already seated in the restaurant, yet we were told that it would be a 10-15 minutes wait. No explanation as to why; the restaurant was essentially empty. The hostess looked uninterested and slightly annoyed that we dared come to eat at her place of work. After we were finally sat (which took longer than 15 minutes), the hostess have us three adult menus even though we clearly had a toddler. The waitress wasn't unpleasant, but seemed a bit overwhelmed even though at this point there were perhaps 5 other tables occupied at this point, counting our own. She was not the only waitress working, and we appeared to be her only table. We ordered an appetizer, and the waitress informed us that we were waiting on extra beer cheese for our pretzels? The restaurant just opened and they had already run out of or had not prepared enough beer cheese for one order? When our food finally arrived, the fries were bland, my wife's Four Cheese Melt with bacon was like plywood and tasted like cardboard. There should be a difference between toasted and inedible. My burger was lukewarm. The only saving grace of our meal was my daughter's grilled chicken. It was perfect and she loves it. We had minimal interaction with our waitress during our visit, she didn't bring out the good and only provided us the required inquiry as to wanting additional fries, which we declined.
The only reason I am giving Red Robin two stars instead of the one that my last visit deserves, is that normally my visits are fantastic and I can't rave enough how great this restaurant is...
