We’ve ordered from this place often, last time our order was not correct, no big deal. Ordered again and came to pick up (after being quoted 25 minutes) only to be told it’ll be ready when it’s made, and that my order wasn’t even started yet. The attitude is unnecessary, but clearly they don’t need the repeat customer service, so we’ll take our business elsewhere. I’ve dealt with enough attitude at pizza counters, it’s unnecessary and disrespectful.
**Edited in response to owner's statements: Not one, but two people (someone in the background) said about 25 minutes, so when I arrived 20 minutes later, it would have been fine to wait a few minutes. I am a reasonable person, and as I've said before, we order from your restaurant on a weekly basis. Usually, the interactions are forgetful and the food is wonderful, but please don't put the onus on me for a bad review, stating that "that's how things are nowadays." Treat your customers with respect and they won't have anything but good things to say about your business. Your employee was not joking, and given the look of shock on my face, perhaps he should have been a little clearer, but when I simply ask, very nicely, whether my order is ready or when it will be ready, the response could have been, oh we got really backed up, I'm sorry, it'll be another 15-20 minutes. And I would have come back. As I was in the car with my husband and small son, I just needed an estimate to know whether we could wait in the parking lot or whether I should take him home. Instead, his "joke" was amiss, and incredibly rude. "You'll get it when I make it," followed up with "I haven't even started your order," are not exactly appropriate customer responses to someone who did not barge in yelling and demanding anything, and instead just asking for a timeline for their order. If he can't handle being busy and interacting with the customers, then perhaps someone else should speak to people about the status of...
Read moreI live close by and eat here any chance I get. Sometimes I call it in myself and other times friends do pick up for multiple people. I’ve never had a bad experience and I believe once pasta was a bit over cooked. I called and the owner corrected it immediately. He sent another complete meal out which was perfect. I wish I could reply on some of the comments I’ve read because it’s absolutely uncalled for. There are quite a few people that have never worked in the industry and it shows in their one star reviews. They go on and act as though they are the critics of the business. Some people are there in the restaurant picking up the food…do you not look at what you got? That’s the perfect time to get it corrected. I can assure you that the owner would much rather fix it and avoid the one star. I recently had an issue with a business and the owner was not willing to fix the problem so I wrote a review and sent it to his email. I explained to him that I would be posting that to his business unless he fixed my situation, which he did immediately so I never posted the review. These one stars don’t come off your business so it really hurts the mom and pop businesses for a long time. I dont know about most of you but I’m sick of the food chains. I’m ordering again tonight that’s why I went on the reviews. I always like to take a look at what’s been going on. I’m sure I’m gonna love my shrimp scampi and if there’s anything wrong I will call the restaurant to bring it to owners attention so he can fix it for me. Bon'...
Read moreI know the restaurant business is a hard one to survive more than a year or two, especially now with after COVID inflation. My two star rating has to do with a small margherita to go I bought today.
It's not cheap ($16.58, dinner time) even though it is meatless, and it is small alright, 9 inches small. The pizza tastes alright, done with chunks of mozzarella (not grated cheese) but the reason it gets cold is on account of the flimsy cardboard box they use, at least in my case. I too live a mile away and my pie was cold when I got home. Pity.
I really want this pizza shop to remain open. It is not fancy but their menu is varied having interesting pasta dishes as well. Service is not bad, not great either. They do what they do for pay, but the love is not there. The lack of enthusiasm is prevalent nowadays everywhere. Wages are not enough to cover expenses, I only know too well, and employees are not enjoying their work.
And that is why I'll have to forget today's experience before I patronize them again. Heaven knows I am forgetful, but can they survive that long? That is the question.
I wish you well Four Brothers, a franchise with Mom and Pop atmosphere that I for one would like to see them succeed.
P.S.: No, the pie didn't get cold because I was taking pictures of it. My setup didn't last but a minute and that's when I saw it was cold already. Honest. Oh, and I brought the pizza inside the trunk, not in the cabin...
