8-Ball Lounge — Restaurant in Florida

My girlfriend, my mother, and I wanted to go out for karaoke Saturday night, but weren't sure where. After some Google searching, we elected to try the 8 Ball. We all brought our masks just in case, not knowing what to expect in terms of requirements, and my mother, ever-cautious, put hers on as we approached the entrance. We were greeted at the door by a hyper young man who told my mother outright "if you're wearing a mask, you can't come in. This is Florida." This is Florida?? What the helll does that mean? I've lived in Florida now for 16 years and have spent the entire pandemic here. I understand mask requirements are easing of late, but most every other establishment still bears a sign saying "masks required". We might have been less taken aback if they had said "masks optional", but that was really off-putting. Nevertheless, we entered, and found ourselves in a tightly packed sardine can filled with smoke. I don't suppose we can fault the establishment for the quality of the karaoke sound system, but that was rather poor as well....

Went there on January 9th at around 11. Was immediatly greeted with a old drunk man who was harrassing my friend and cussing at her literally before we even walked into the bar. After sitting down we ordered two whiskey gingers. The drinks had literally no whiskey in them whatsoever. It just tasted like soda water. But that was the least of our problems. The old man decided to walk across the bar sit next to us and start making racial slurs at the friend i was with. Saying things like "this place is for americans" and " you got it so easy being brown". Mind you she is infact a born and raised American with a military family. We immedialty cashed out and left. Owner is super rude. I came in with my boyfriend and our friend for the first time and the owner immediately asked for IDs which was fine we had no issue with that but he was rude from the start. He then proceeded to swear up and down my boyfriend’s ID was fake even though it’s not. We’re both 23, just look super young which doesn’t help lol. He said “There’s no way you’re 5’10” and proceeded to act all tough. The bartender checking our IDs with him knew the ID wasn’t fake for sure but seemed too nervous to say anything. I told my boyfriend to have a cop come over and verify the ID but he just wanted to leave at this point. Never met such a rude bar owner in my life and will not...
