Been there twice. Once too many. Staff is friendly , personalities are upbeat and always smiling. Kudos to whoever does the hiring !! Just bc I rate a couple main categories poorly does not mean that I wouldn't recommend or trash talk this place. The two tines I have gone I ordered a different entree. The salmon with the chili sauce (I will find correct dish name) was my first visit selection. Presentation was great! Looked amazing and I couldnt wait to take my first bite. Extremely shocked and let down. It was bland bland bland. It isnt that it tasted bad. It didnt taste bad nor did it taste good. It tasted like eh nothi g! Samd for the other item on plate. Second visit I orderex the red sauce enchilada. Had been craving that for a few weeks and excited to have a family get together planned for this place. Perfect timing I thouhgt!! As we all were being served our dinner plates I noticed how every plate looked great, Bam ! Plate after plate being placed and alllll filled with food that popped out ...plates that had sauce were perfectly drizzeled over the food, the sour cream dollops were not smeared or oozing off the edge, melted cheese well not too much and not underdone. Fabulous!! Aa I dig in I never expected a repeat. Aghast! Oh I retract partially. Only one thing on my plate had a taste. The red sauce. And it tasted scorched or burned. Only the sauce. The rest .....bland. I ended up tsking it most of it home. And it didmt sit in the fridge too long. And not bevause its last place metvmy stomach. Its resting place.....garbage disposal. Dont go by my write up. At least go check it out and exoeriemce it yourself. I posted as to see if other patrons have experienced the same. If so., yes I would then disregard me saying to try it. If the same bland experiences are just unrealized then once hughlighted then the cooks or the creators of the food best get back to their drawing boards .....or culinary...
Read moreMy friends and I dined at Agave Azul in Winter Springs, FL, and it was a fantastic experience. We were a group of 14—seven couples—celebrating Valentine’s Day, and the restaurant and server Valerie made the occasion even more special. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a festive yet cozy vibe. Our server, Valerie, truly made our experience outstanding. She was attentive, professional, and friendly, always checking in to ensure everything was perfect. We kicked things off with a variety of drinks including Pina Coladas, Sangria, cocktails and draft beers(only disappointment of the night was they were out of Michelob Ultra on draft). The drinks were well-crafted and refreshing, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. For appetizers, we shared Street Corn and Jalapeños Rellenos, which were both bursting with flavor. The Guacamole de Casa and Queso Blanco were the perfect accompaniments, creamy and rich. As for entrées, Raspberry Chipotle Salmon, which was a delightful blend of sweet and smoky flavors, Mahi Fernandez was another hit, offering a tender, flavorful fish that melted in your mouth. Others enjoyed the Fajitas Guajillo Chicken, Vegetarian Fajitas, Margarita Chicken, and Chimichanga—each dish had its own distinctive flavors and left us all satisfied. The Fajitas were grilled to perfection. To end the night, I indulged in the Tres Leches dessert, and it was the perfect finish to a memorable meal. Light, sweet, and with just the right amount of creaminess. Overall, Agave Azul provided an excellent dining experience. Great food, an attentive staff, and a lively yet comfortable atmosphere made for a perfect Valentine’s Day evening. We’ll...

Update: To Agave Azul Winter Springs (Owner)
This was a Google review posted by my wife after the unpleasant experience.
"We've been coming to this place quite frequently for the past several months. For the most part, the experience had been pleasant until this past Friday when my husband ordered their Chimichanga and when it came it was almost cold. We looked for our server at the bar but she wasn't around. We called someone else who informed us she had taken a bathroom break. He offered to help so my husband asked if he could reheat the Chimichanga and he gladly said yes. Except the manager - Alma - came back with the plate and Said that she couldn't reheat it because my husband had already eaten some of it! How else was he going to find out that the food was cold if he didn't try it? She made a spectacle at the bar about how she couldn't make a new one because my husband had already eaten some of it. So; my husband had no dinner because it was cold and the manager refused to make another one! What kind of BS is this? We spend quite a bit of money every time we go there. Not only that but we treated the staff very well with tips. We were charged for the entire bill which we paid plus the tip and left to go to another restaurant to eat. The server and the staff at the bar were extremely apologetic and embarrassed by the manager's behavior and didn't really know how to fix the situation. The manager lost two excellent patrons because of one Chimichanga. Hope it was worth it to her. Alma needs to be retrained on customer service and customer retention. Worst manager we have encountered in our entire lives. We won't be going back!"
Unless... Alma is no longer...
