Arepa Burger Lake Nona — Restaurant in Florida

My boo and I were having a lovely Saturday exploring lake Nona when we decided that we were hungry for something to really sink our teeth into! So we did a little research of some places around the area and came across Arepa Burger! We went inside not really knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised! We thought the menu was so unique! He got the arepa Burger and I got the special Burger. We also ordered a side of fries to share, and I got a Passion fruit drink. Everything was absolutely incredible! They also have a huge selection of sauces that you can dip your fries into or put on your burgers. I got cheese sauce and the infamous garlic sauce which they had a bottle of on every table... AND I SEE WHY! Me and my boo Literally wanted to drown in that garlic sauce! Let me start by saying I have never had Venezuelan empanadas. And all I could think after having one is, I've been missing out! The sweet corn outside paired with a hearty portion of savory filling made my taste buds go crazy. Pair them with the many sauces they had and you are in for a real flavor explosion! I had the ground beef empanada and a cheese empanada with Cafe con Leche and it was about $12-$14 give it take considering tip (which is not required, but I like to.) The food was very filling The restaurant was clean and the young lady that helped me was so polite and had a real love for her countries traditional dishes. One of three places I’ll eat out at. Everything it seems is handmade and like they use the best ingredients they can! The white cheese is some of the best cheese I’ve had idk how they make it. I always like to see the staff and they seem genuinely glad to see me as well. I am partial to the shredded chicken arepa, the pataćon with pork, and the fish empanadas which are incredible. All the meat is juicy always hot and never dry and is a pretty substantial portion. Very filling! I genuinely come here probably 3 times a week. The sauces on the side are also made in house and I’m partial to the green hot sauce.
