I'm sad to be writing this review but I feel like it's needed. I placed a to-go order at 5:00 and was told it would be ready in 20-25 min. I sent my daughter in to pick up the food around 5:25 and after 10minutes I get a text from her that they messed up our order and she wasn't really sure what was going on. I waited another 10 min then called them from my car to see what was going on. The person admitted a mistake was made and it would be another 10-15min. He told me that he would talk to the manager and tell my daughter what she said. I told him that I would hold and he could relay to me because my daughter is not an adult and is already confused. The manager tells me that she will give us 10% off and the order is ready now. Fine. I wait another 5 min and my daughter is texting me that she is still waiting. I went inside and sure enough, the food is not ready. Then they proceed to tell me they took off $3.70 so I asked to see the receipt because I didn't order $37.00 worth of food. Instead of adding tofu to a dish, I was charged for a tofu entree at an additional $14. I explained that I had not ordered the entree. They take the packaged food and proceed to open up the containers and actually put 6 pieces of tofu into a container to give to me. They kept the rest! They deleted the original transaction to deduct the tofu entree as if they are doing me a favor. At this point it's 6pm and I'm ready to just go. So, after all of that, they give me $2.30 off the bill and 6 pieces of tofu. They had no problem running my credit card through again. On the drive home, I had decided to let it go but when I opened up the containers, I felt compelled to write a review. As if that experience wasn't awful enough, the Hibachi Vegetable dish I ordered was all big chunks of squash and zucchini (almost raw) w/ a few pieces of broccoli, 1 mushroom sliced in half, onions and no hibachi sauce on the side. I'm disappointed as we have dined in at this restaurant and I always order the same dish so I knew what to expect. I will be looking for another place for hibachi and sushi. If you decide to eat here, I would highly recommend dining in only. Hopefully they will listen to feedback and be more gracious...
Read more*WORST sushi ever in the world!!! I never knew that I’ll be one of those people who take the time to write a review, but today for the first time I am. My daughter and I are such foodies and we’ve have tried sushi from many places, I have had some that have not been the best, but NONA Sushi definitely takes the crown of the worst ever. On this Friday night we were just trying to have a nice mommy and me time...bad idea! The place was not pleasant, but that doesn’t usually bother unless the food is bad. The menus were greased up with other peoples fingerprints, and we were literally touching shoulders with people sitting on nearby tables. So no COVID precautions in the least. After taking our order and eating our miso soup as appetizer we waited for a whole hour and 15 minutes to get the four types of sushi we had ordered (Mexican, Volcano, Spider, and surprise) When the food finally arrived we were so happy because all we wanted to do was eat. But then savoring into the first pieces, I just felt so disgusted because I even noticed a weird, funky taste on the purple looking fish. The avocados were brown and had black spots, and even the rice had like a slimy sort of texture. The tempura Shrimp’s tale looked like it had been fried the day before and tasted like cardboard. And then on top of that after not eating anything and barely just trying each of the four rolls we had ordered the came to me with a $90 bill just for that plus two miso soups and water, which they kept refilling. Horrible experience and left the...
Read morePopped in for lunch, arrived 5 minutes early before they "opened" although door was open. Walking in two chefs(?) behind counter see me and say nothing to me as they continue to talk amongst themselves. So I grab a take out menu, one of the guys behind counter leaves and other is just standing there fiddling with something, I look at him, he looks up at me says nothing, looks back down. Then I guess his "manners" kick in and he looks back up and says, "we're not open"' pause...( a surprised look on my face as I'm about to ask a question) , then he continues with "we open in 5 minutes" Hostess appears from back and he says "she can help you" (seriously!) and she comes to counter and repeats what he says about being closed for 5 more minutes. Offers for me to wait either inside or out. I chose out, not because of hostess, but due to the rudeness encountered when I first entered ...neither dude behind counter acknowledged I came in, then one looked at me twice BEFORE opening his mouth and not with a greeting or smile or anything of sorts- RUDE! Took my very hungry for sushi business down the street to Maki Hibachi where I am now writing this review in a welcoming, friendly and apparently cleaner establishment; where I was greeted upon entering with a smile and all that's expected when entering a SERVICE...
