Aroy Thai and Sushi — Restaurant in Seminole

Having been to many thai and sushi restaurants in my area I find them most to be lacking. However this was a completely different experience.. this was a taste of Thailand here in Seminole. My brother and I went for lunch and the hostess was incredibly polite and respectful to not only me but my brothers vegetarian diet. The food was cooked to perfect, each vegetable and protien still having body and substance but not overcooked, the sauce was wonderfully rich and had a depth and layer of flavor that is lacking in most other thai places i even ended up not only tipping the waitress but the cook as well. The sake that we ordered was chilled well and the even hostess shook it before bringing it to the table ( it was unfiltered nigori). The atmosphere was pleasant and warm with a family feel. Being a chef and finding good food near me always brings me joy, and it brings me great joy to say I will be back here to enjoy...

Let me tell you this. I am a very picky eater and I love esthetics, so when I drove to this place, I thought it was a wrong location at first. However, once I got in, I immediately felt like I was at home. People working at the restaurant were extremely warm and welcoming, and the food was fresh and delicious. The server checked on me a couple of times asking if I wanted more water and if the food tasted good. She even clapped when she saw that I finished my food. Hole in the wall Thai restaurant. Seeing the high stars we were excited to try this place but the food overall was not authentic tasting and the flavors were off.

We did enjoy the crab rangoons.

The pad Thai was overly sweet with no fish oil or oyster sauce which would have given it a better flavor and more authentic. They never asked if we wanted it spicy that would have helped as well.

The red curry was watery and salty tomato flavor. Didn’t have that sweet coconut milk that you’d expect.
