Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

I was in the neighborhood and had a craving for "Egg Foo Young." I never eat it anymore but love it if you can find a place that makes it really good, and doesn't have MSG in it. So, I saw the sign which was kind of easy to miss (see photos) and decided to give it a try. The place was empty, but I ordered at the counter and asked how long it would be as I needed to run to the grocery store. The very nice female said, "we can wait 15-20 minutes to start it if that is o.k.?" I said that would be great and did my errands. When I got back the place was still empty, but she saw me and told the people in the back to start my order and I could hear them in the back cooking it. I had it "to go" and only had to wait about 7 minutes for them to finish. Everything was packaged nicely and felt very hot! I had about a 20 minute drive to get home and when I got home I opened up the package and it was still hot and steaming! I was amazed at how big the portion was, 3 very large patties and also a nice size of rice. When I tried it, it was absolutely what I had been missing since moving here. I have NOT been able to find a place that makes it this good. I usually eat Thai or Vietnamese food, but this is my comfort food and I was not disappointed in the least. My daughter and I came in from Georgia for a class I had to attend for my business. We went here last night at 9pm and were greeted with a bright smile! We were then served at our table with beautifully displayed dinners. They are So generous on the amount of food they give you!! I'll be able to eat this for breakfast and lunch tomorrow!! The taste was mouthwatering, delicious, savory and simply a melt in your mouth experience! To top it off this lovely ray of sunshine went above and beyond! It was pouring outside and she stopped us and said, I have an umbrella for you! So sweet!! Then, she couldn't find it, lol!! However; she was very creative and made me a make shift umbrella!! She covered my head and came outside and made sure I was going to stay dry! Did I say she was sweet? She is one of the kindest, sweetest, generous, and one of the most thoughtful person I've ever had the honor to meet!! It's taken a long time for us to try this place since moving to the area just because they don't have delivery. But now that we have, this is our new favorite Chinese food place. We are vegetarian and tried the veggie and tofu options including lo mein, fried rice, and meals. Everything was delicious. We forgot to take pictures before it was devoured. The tofu was better than most places, most likely because they cut them up into smaller pieces so more surface area is able to be cooked so it's not all mushy. If they would just add delivery as an option, they would get a lot more of our money, that's really my only complaint.

Update: years later and this is still our go-to Chinese food place. Our orders are consistently good, always correct, and ready on time. They even call to tell us when our order is ready. Definitely worth driving...
