IHOP — Restaurant in Florida

Stopped here on Sunday after church with my wife, daughter and granddaughter. Very busy, as usual Sunday noonish, but only had to wait about 5 minutes.

Drinks and menus brought quickly by Megan, our waitress. After a few minutes we had decided. My wife and I both enjoy a later breakfast so we opted for the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity. This consisted of 2 eggs, 2 meats and 2 pancakes topped with fresh fruit. Strawberries for my sweetie and blueberries for moi.

Daughter, being a nurse and more health conscious, chose the Salmon with side salad. Our granddaughter wanted the Buffalo Chicken Melt, along with her usual Shirley Temple with cherries.

Our food was perfect and delicious. IHOP green definitely has the best and fluffiest pancakes anywhere. Megan was an excellent server and kept checking on us. Great service, great food, great price - Rooty Tooty was only $6.00. Plus Military Discount!!

Stopped by here on Veteran’s Day 2022. IHOP is a favorite because of the huge variety of different dishes and hard to beat for breakfast. Expected a crowd on this day and there was about a 20 minute wait. Luckily when we arrived, someone was just pulling out so we grabbed a parking spot right up front.

Their special this day was a complimentary egg and pancake meal. We had coffee and spoke about bringing the grandkids back here for lunch after church. After a short wait and a cup of steaming coffee our meals arrived.

I kind of expected a kid-sized free meal but Nope! It was two crispy slices of bacon, two perfectly cooked over easy eggs and hash browns. Then a second plate arrived with two huge, fluffy red, white and blue pancakes! The red (strawberries), white (whipped cream) and blue (blueberries) were as delicious as they looked!

I must admit I ate most of it, really more of a mid-day brunch, and needed a nap afterwards. Thank you for a great meal and honoring veterans! L. Sipe...

I never right review especially not bad ones but we came to this location last night and the waitress that aerved us had an attitude the whole night and everything took for ever i asked for butter it never came and fruit it never came . But i didn't complain I understand maybe she had a bad night or something idk so i didn't complain we even left her a good tip. Then me and my boyfriend we we came back tonight, it was the same waitress and when we came in she said oh you guys are back already. Then sat us on a really tiny booth till another waitress who was alot nicer came and asked if we wanted to move to a bigger booth so we said sure thank you and she moved us. Then the other waitress did not come to us for almost 20 minutes not even to ask if we wanted water or coffee. Then when she finally came back she asked if we knew what we wanted yet. So i said the food and she just left so i asked her as she was leaving wait can we please get coffee or a little water. Then the food took forever I didn't even mind waiting for the food i just wanted atleast atleast water not even water was on our table 50 min after seating us. So finally I asked politely if we could get our coffee at least and the waitress just looked at us and said with an attitude "the coffee is brewing" so we waited 10 min more now about an hour and not one drink nor food was on our table so even though i am very patient and never left from a restaurant in my life because i feel bad Ive worked in the kitchen all my life so im very patient and understand but this time we just got up and just left. As long as they keep that waitress there in the night shift we will not be returning to that location. a very bad experience Note: we always go in the night around 11pm or 12am and both times there was only like 1...

2 stars for excellent food. Zero stars for the service I received on 7/31/22 at 4:00 am. Donald was my waiter. Food arrived quick. He made me a cherry Pepsi using grenadine. My glass was empty half way through my meal & he asked how the drink was looking at my empty glass. I said it was great. He walked away & never gave me a refill. No refill means no tip on a $3.39 12oz drink.

After I finished the meal, I waited for him to bring me the check. Unfortunately, he passed by me many times in that 20 minute period as if I wasn't there. I don't flag down people as I just start deducting from the tip when things like this happen. He was taking care of everyone else that arrived after me instead of making an effort to finish my transaction.

I had to ask for a transaction Pancoin code as he never even volunteered that. I left no tip as a tip wasn't deserved. The money that I would have left for a tip (had I left a tip which I left zero tip) I used at a local convenience store since I was still thirsty from my meal. You want a tip? Earn it. I'm going back to the Largo Ulmerton Road location as I usually frequent for 12 years with no issues.

Update 6/4/23 my only visit after the last visit disaster 11 months ago. Different server, same general situation. There was only one table of 4 guests at that time. I arrived at 3:50am. I was done eating at 4:10am. Drink was never refilled. Waited 20 minutes for the check at 4:30am.

The 4 guests before me were still waiting as well and were there before me and after I left. I felt bad for them. That was strike 2 and the last time I will dine there. I work nights so I like to dine when I have...
