I would give 0 if I could! I have ordered appliances in the past without issues. then about 6 yrs ago we did a kitchen remodel through HD which turned into a nightmare! So my fridge of maybe 8 yrs that we had purchased from them went out 6 days ago. Decided ok we haven't had issues before so even though products aren't what they used to be (don't last long) I purchased one online 5 days ok with delivery date today between 7a-7p. Never rec'd a confirmation call from delivery co. so I started calling the store, was brushed off the phone quickly by a man in appliance area, he said you'll need to call delivery co and gave me phone #. I was on hold 30 mins with delivery co, finally hung up and called back and was hung up on, called back again and was put on hold for another 5 mins or so! then when someone finally picked up phone I gave all my info and spent another 10 mins while they tried to find me. Then they asked for my zip again and said oh that's a different location, and sent me to another number. Then again spent another 10 giving info again and they couldn't find me and told me to call the store I ordered from. This time I called Home Depot and asked for a manager. He was helpful in the fact that he said oh online orders go through different delivery service and he found my order and said it was still scheduled for today. 11 hours later no call, no delivery and store is closed! So I call customer service line and was hung up on 4 times total time about 40 mins before I got a human. She looked me up and couldn't find me, then found my info but said order never went through so that's why it didn't get delivered!!!! What!? The manager at the store found it? She said, "he gave you the wrong info" I then asked well now what? Is there someone there that can fix this and get it ordered? "yes", she said. "but it's on back order till July" she says. I said what!? Why didn't they say that when I ordered it? She says, "it wasn't on backorder then" So I said sooooo what you'r telling me is everyone else got their fridge but ran out and just left me hanging!? I canceled the order and will no longer use Home Depot!! Many hours wasted on this store and NO ONE other than the store manager I spoke with earlier in the...
Read moreAn employee talked us into getting our rug delivered to us instead of buying it in store by promising us free shipping and delivery. When we looked at the receipt we actually paid $35 for shipping. The employee had assured us that she had changed the shipping to be free. I do not appreciate being lied to. I would have simply made the purchase in store instead of having it delivered if I would have known that shipping was that much.
Not only did she lie about comping us shipping, she also gave my personal information away to an HVAC contractor, REDCAP PLUMBING AND AIR, after I asked her not to. She asked if we were interested in getting our HVAC serviced and I told her there was no need because we are renters, not homeowners. Despite this, I got an email saying that the employee scheduled a service request with Redcap. I never consented to scheduling a service request nor did I consent to having my first and last name, phone number, and street address sent to the contractor.
I noticed there was a sign on the employee's workstation that Home Depot was having a contest - the employee that signs up the most customers for a service request with a contractor won a $25 gift card. Obviously the employee was attempting to win this contest by signing up customers even if it meant giving away personal information against the customer's wishes.
The employee that was "helping" us mentioned that she had been written up for leaving the aisles filthy when she was closing, which we found a strange thing and unprofessional thing to mention. Not shocking that this employee had been written up before though. The employee wouldn't stop chatting and took forever to order the rug (and signing us up for unwanted services) which extended our visit about a half hour.
We also noticed that many of the aisles were blocked and hard to browse at due to the amount of ladders, boxes, etc. laying around - the Largo store is much cleaner and has a better selection anyway.
I'm planning on shopping at Lowes...
Read moreDO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM HERE. I rented a truck and planned to have it only 3 hours. The quote for it was a little over $77 for 3 hours. Any 15 minutes over would be $7 or vice versa if it was returned sooner than the quoted time. I got back a little after 8 (8:17 to be exact) and was not told the rental desk closes at 8. I was just told that any time over or under would be adjusted. Their website says the truck rental center is open until 10. I guess if you read all the small print on the contract it says they close at 8 and they have signs in the rental center. They charged me for a full day and when I told them if I was being charged for a full day I was going to keep the truck for a full day. They then threatened to call the cops on me if I didnât give the keys back. The manager said at least she took the rental back after hours when they were not supposed to. Yes, Iâll give her that but when youâre charging the customer for a full day for 4 and a half hours of use they should be able to use it for a full day without threatening to call the cops. So much for being a great company that supports charities and blah blah blah. Of course they can âgive to the communityâwhen they overcharge customers and then rent the truck out while the prior customer already paid for that time. Theyâre making double the profit not to mention the false advertisement. When youâre in a hurry trying to get stuff done are you going to stop what youâre doing and read the full contract while driving or go to the website to check out the hours? My mistake maybe, but not fully. AND they tried to say I got there later than 4 and a half hours. If they check their cameras theyâll see what time I was there. Life 360 is a blessing. I feel bad for the people that came in when I was leaving trying to drop their rental off. Another...
