AUTUMN'S CRAB — Restaurant in Florida

First-time patronizing tonight. As soon as we sat down we ordered our food when the waiter came to ask what we wanted to drink. Our food came out in 20 minutes. The two adults got steamed shrimp and lobster. But the kids food never came out. They got fried shrimp and chicken tenders. We sat there and waited and wondered when the kids would get their food when they were starving. I had to flag the waiter down to ask him and he said he'll check on it. It took 20 minutes later for the kids to get their food. 40 minutes for their food. We felt bad and waited for their food so our Seafood got cold. I asked to speak to the manager. I don't know how many managers there are but it was a young Asian woman. We were very calm in our demeanor with this waiter and manager. I told her what happened and that the food should come together or the kids food before hours. Also said our food is cold and she offered to reheat it. You do not reheat fresh seafood. She also gave the lame excuse that fried food takes longer. It really didn't seem like she cared. I explained this was our first visit and a bit disappointing. The waiter ignored us most of the time. He went to others table several times asked if they needed anything. He waited till we were done and no offer of drinks or dessert or anything. I had to re flag him down to get a container for our food. And when he did come the one time we had the credit card sitting there and he did not offer to take it and run the bill so we had to flag him down to get the check. I don't expect anything for free but I expected that manager to show her appreciation for our business in some way whether it was take the drinks off or ice cream for the kids who had to starve 20 minutes past when our food came and us eating cold seafood. The waiter seemed like a nice young man but he is absolutely clueless about serving. And that manager is a lame manager who should have acted like she cared about our business. There are too many restaurants in Vero Beach that serve good seafood and great service and part of what you pay for is the service/experience. I will give credit where credit is due, the seafood was very good. however, I work too hard for my money to give it to an establishment that doesn't value my business. A Real Westside Seafood Place The typical Mother's Day was focused on great seafood so we chose Autumn's Crab. The westside restaurant is exactly that good seafood in a quiet place. The restaurant is a place to eat, not a place to be dined & wined. The food consists of fresh seafoods in a steamer bag of your choice spices. The presentation is "let's eat" style on the table with a roll of paper towels to help you enjoy your feast. The shrimp, crabs, claws, and lobster were fresh, hot & delightful. We expected real hot seafood & they did not disappoint. The cost is market value and the flavors of old Bay & garlic robust. Real seafood sourced from Bar Harbor purveyor company is expensive but well worth the price. Here you can eat the quality and avoid the posh atmosphere of beachside dining. The wait staff provides all the essentials to assist your feast. We will return here and we left completely full of our desired ocean favorites. This is a clean well run dining area that gives you exactly what you want in fresh seafood cooked exactly how you like it. Going here you should expect fresh flavor and great taste. This is not a pampered view type of venue. The parking lot is safe & the staff very polite to the diner. We will eat here again, thankyou Autumn's Crab for the fulfilling my wife's seafood...

The Seafood was good and the sauce was def on point but my waitress was not. She came to my table and never introduced herself.( A short young Caucasion girl that's most likely in her 20s.) She just stood there and then asked what I wanted to drink. I told her what I wanted to drink she then states are you ready to place your order now. Umm I just sat down but you know what forget spending money on the appetizer that i wanted I'll just go straight to the main course. It takes a minute but she eventually brings my food. Not once did she ask if I wanted her to take it out the bag. She just starts waking away. Never asking if I needed anything. I had to stop her to tell her that I needed another coke. She brings that back and runs away again. I'm just smh at this point because the restaurant isn't busy at all but she acted like she was scared of people. So she never comes back. I finish my food and I'm patiently waiting for her to return and she finally comes and just says here's your bill you can pay it up front. Umm I guess I looked like I didn't want anything else. But the next time I go and she's my waitress I'm asking...
