After being on the road for 2 hours, we arrived at 830pm to this store - who should be open until 9pm. Outside lights were already off, but the 6 of us went in hopeful.
I saw all ice cream covered and asked "are you open?" I was told "we're open, but we have no ice cream and no donuts.". I asked why not...? He clarified that they'd already cleaned up those things. I said "so you closed early?" and was told "no, we're still open. We're just getting ready to close.".
As a franchise business owner, I explained to them the doors being unlocked isn't what makes you open. Being able to take customers is. So if you have no ice cream to serve at Baskin Robbins, then you're essentially closed. I asked "Does your owner know you closed a half hour early?". At this point, his coworker chimed in to try telling me that the ice cream is all freezer burnt and that's why they can't serve it. Lol. Good try.

Unfortunately, it wasnât for us, he was getting a scoop for someone in the drive thru. We asked, how much longer it would be? He said, he had no idea. Thatâs encouraging. He suggested we go in the drive thru line for service (not when we had already been waiting for 10 minutes). There was a girl that was new, but I guess she could not scoop ice cream. The guy/shift manager was very happy to write down his full name, âJatavian Deyonte Gallowayâ for my google review. He also was very proud of his thoughtless customer service.
