Talking to the owner Mauricio was an enlightening experience of an owner/guest relationship. He was so engaged to help with any questions I had- seeing I've never been there before. I work at a very popular and very busy Caribbean restaurant and the quality if this food is absolutely amazing and can hold it's own when it comes to quality compared to its competitors. I had the Steak Churrasco 12 OZ with rice and beans (by the way the beans are homemade as well as the sauces) along with the Beef Empanadas. AMAZING! As my wife and I have to move back to the Westchase area, this restaurant will never be too far for us to travel and enjoy this little place called Bella Columbia. I do not recommend this place at all. The food quality was poor and disgusting. Pork was either undercook or 90% full of fat. They replaced my food with a new plate. The lady who I assume is the owner and her son never even bother to stop by and apologize for the disgusting meal. I used to visit this place often when I worked in the area a few years ago, and I can tell you quality went down. The meat is cheap and full of fat. My port loin was the size of two pages it was made of bread crumbs for the most part. Assuming by their lack of caring knowing the food quality, I'm surprised no one else has complain. New owners as of June 1, 2016!!! We loved our entire experience, food & service was wonderful. This is a hidden gem that you must try. We loved everything that we ordered but our favorites were the skirt steak and empenadas. Can't wait to try more from their menu! Update: We've been back several times and just ate there again.
