Benny Bada Bings Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

I was going to leave my original post from 10 months ago on here just to show you how much I THOUGHT this place rocked .. The owners seemed nice the staff seemed friendly the food WAS delicious but turns out this is the sheisty is AND most malicious family-run restaurant I've ever come across in my lifetime! I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a business especially a restaurant business ever! Being that I've owned my own business for quite some years I know how to treat a customer NO MATTER WHAT! I'm trying to understand why I would get accused of having SEVERAL "unpaid" bills which means MORE than one........... yet they've delivered to my house at least once a week for the past 10 months without a problem?! the very last time I ordered my girlfriend's credit card was entered into their system incorrectly and I seem to have been blamed for it... MIND YOU THIS IS ONE OF MY "UNPAID BILLS" yet paid cash and had him write a hand-written receipt ...So when I call to order tonight for a delivery I was told that they cannot deliver to me?! This is been one of my favorite restaurants for quite some time UNTIL recent activities which I will not expose on social media but what I WILL SAY is for a restaurant to accused to accumulate "so many unpaid bills" yet keep delivering to me and keep taking my money yet never telling me that I supposedly have these so-called unpaid bills... That is kind mind blowing to me! one of the sons accused me of using drugs or drinking etc..... yes they went that low and even lower........BUT I've been clean for 4 years and I'm not ashamed to say it.......... that's how low these people will go and I guess ill go ahead and mention how the wife of the owner threatened to punch me in my face unless I left because there was many customers to watch this all happen ( God forbid so many people find out at once what's really going in your face and behind closed doors!) and all I went there for was to find out why I've been ordering from this restaurant for the past 10 months with every single bill PAID because I have my credit card bills to prove it and I've always saved my cash receipts so apparently either the grandson who delivers for these people either keeps your money and tells grandma and papa that you didn't take the food or this establishment is just extremely crooked because the "gentleman/son" I had such a GREAT encounter with tonight that also threatened me and my girlfriend who by the way was fresh out of surgery today and it was very obvious... also he Had the audacity to tell me I had an unpaid Bill and he overheard the whole delivery call from this grandson I speak of from my LAST delivery... mind you there was NO phone call and mind you I PAID the bill and I HAVE a receipt SO obviously I'm going to wash my hands because I've already heard rumors of other people having problems with this place... Absolutely disgusting if you want to really wonder what is in your food if you piss these people from Brooklyn off... And don't forget ..........don't look at any of the family members in the wrong way if they have a significant other because if you do you will get threatened, blacklisted, Special Sauces in your food, oh and they may even say that they're going to call the cops when really they're the ones trying to double bill you........ they knew very well tonight that if they took my money it was fraud because I have always praise this place and ordered every week pretty much since I've lived in Venice. but apparently the daughter says None of my bills I've ever been paid over the last 10 months and they have delivered so many times I can't even count... I guess I've been getting an awful lot of free food?! no no no because any restaurant would cut you off if you didn't pay a bill or even leave the food without payment on a delivery SMH so nice try by the bang! May 21, 2025 - Update almost 4 years later. Take out for 3. (I had first reviewed them on Yelp in 2021 and am now cross posting this update review here on Google)

We finally moved to Venice from Osprey and the MIL we were caring for in Northport had passed away. I have tried Big Mike's and other in the area and we are always looking for great pizza, great buffalo wings, & a good buffalo pizza.

I forgot I had been here years ago. My wife directed me here for pickup and she was hankering for buffalo wings. She makes FANTASTIC wings!!! The bar is not really that high.

1. must be properly and thoroughly cooked. We are not talking 'well done' but firm/crisp skin.....not rubbery and fatty. simple?

2. she like flats, I basically don't eat meat much for the saturated fats so when I am 'eating the thighs' that she and my daughter don't want, see item #1 - I want the fat baked out.

*** She talked with the order taker and was told they don't do 'flat only orders' but they are about 50/50 flats and thighs. She ordered well done, thoroughly done, crisp skin. *

We ordered a large plain to give that part of the experiment a try as well...the pizza sauce, cheese and ingredients were tasty and nice. The dough/crust is also flavorful and this is a upper percentile pizza in our book. The pizza was a little doughy and undercooked. Seems everybody like to rush the oven and process. It was getting cold as I waited for our undercooked wings for another 10 minutes.

The 10 wing Barbecue wings were very rubbery and undercooked. Tasty ok but oddly the sugary barbecue sauce coating had jelled and crystalized from a fast or too high cooking temperature. Most disturbingly for my wife who ordered this......there were exactly ZERO flats in the order. NONE!!!! So on the TWO simple request a total FAIL. 0/10

The Buffalo Wing order was similar. Good taste and flavor but rubbery skin and undercooked. FAIL on criteria #1. In this case there were exactly TWO out of ten wings were flats. So 20% flats NOT the 'guaranteed' closer to 50%. A FAIL on the second criteria. 2/10

I did like the interior and the women behind the counter was pleasant as was the wait staff wandering our the place. I took a picture of a couple's dinner coming out and it 'looked' very nice!!! Loved the interior for a simple pizza and Italian restaurant.

I don't think there will be a third try for us here. Too many other options.

Footnote: (picture here somewhere) We re-baked the wings the next day after my wife ate the TWO our of twenty wings that were the flats that she wanted the previous night. They were properly cooked then and those 100% thighs - came out great . Sad we could not get what we ordered - OR what was promised?

Also they have a hidden sneaky UP CHARGE for non cash purchases. Basically makes an already average expensive meal just more expensive. More like a cable bill than...

I've read varying reviews and we all know all experiences are subjective but i have to say. I have lived in florida for seven years now and last night was the first time we tried baba bings. It has the allure of a messy, chaotic family pizza place which personally as a Bostonian i find endearing tbh. I have to mention that i rarely write reviews but my experience was worth mentioning. I ordered a chicken parm and a med cheese pizza my wife loved her chick parm sub and i tried some and would definitely deem it legit. What really REALLY impressed me though was the fact that i asked for my pizza crispy and this albeit a simple request is one that is seldom accomadated be it fries or pizza. They say yes sure then i get soggy fries and regular cooked pizza. Last night however the girl who took my order not only made sure it was how i asked for it but when she brought it out to me she said "let me open the box and make sure its the way you like it" ive been here for 7 years and she was the FIRST person to take that extra second to ensure i was happy.and it blew me away.....it literally left such a good impression that i felt compelled to write this review. I wish i knew her name but it was the younger girl who answers the phone.and the pizza was cooked EXACTLY how i like it and i really enjoyed it as well. Good northern style pizza and very tasty. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is i haven't tried everything there enough to fairly evaluate a top notch rating but i will say that simple caring gesture from her definitely has made me want to give them my business again....
