Cafe Bagel — Restaurant in Venice

I was in search of a yummy bagel for lunch. I was excited when I had remembered this place. I ordered (after not being acknowledged by staff as I stood at the counter) several bagels (figured the family would enjoy some). The cashier took forever with the person ahead of me and when it finally became my time to check out, there wasn't any "sorry you waited so long." or anything like that. I proceeded to eat my bagel on the way to work. I had already taken a big bite out of it so after discovering that it literally was tasteless (literally), I figured I'd keep eating it so as not to throw a partially eaten bagel in the bag with the fresh ones. It was tastless and stale. I figured maybe it was just the bagel and that I'd give bagel #2 a chance this morning. It was hard and tasteless just like the first one. The interior of the place is grungy and staffed with employees who aren't service minded. I won't go back here not because of the service but because of the horribly lifeless bagels. I had a minor complaint about an order that had ordered online so I called to speak to the manager. I was completely calm, but accidentally dropped an F bomb on the phone. The manager lied and acted like I was cussing him out, and used it as a pretense to scream at me for 2 mins and to threaten me by saying: "Do you know who you are messing with?! Do you know who I am?! " He inferred that he was willing to do harm me over a bagel, and then threatened to call the police. For what? Huh? What has the world come to?

I don't care much about $4.63, its a small price to not to support a business like this. I am astonished. I was simply questioning having to pay almost five dollars to add bacon to a four dollar sandwich. Seems totally reasonable. He is young and he gave me a refund so I am not going to press charges, If your order is wrong here I do not suggest calling. I will find a new place to get bagels. Customer...

Food is wonderful here but get there early because 4 times in the past 2 weeks I've tried to stop in to get garlic bagels and they're ALWAYS out after noon. You get there after noon and you only have your choice off the strange bagels very few people like. Never any garlic bagels left and that's the reason I go here... Myself and 2 others walked in then right back out because all they had left was egg bagels and other kinds I do not like. WHY NOT MAKE MORE OF THE ONES YOUR ALWAYS SOLD OUT OF BY NOON!!!!!! I crave their garlic bagels and it's frustrating every time I go in you have NONE. Owner is also rude I observed him calling a server stupid months ago right at the counter because she had her car parked blocking the dumpster.
