Blue Iguana Sports Grill — Restaurant in Florida

We got there at about 10pm on a Saturday night (closes at 2am). The only people there were a couple eating and a couple at the bar. Our group was 4 adults and 4 kids. We just wanted to get a few drinks and the kids to get some refreshments. The menus were brought to us. My husband ordered 2 $9 mojitos and I had to mango margaritas $12. Both of my friends ordered 2 drinks each and a few sodas for the kids. The food menu was like buying boxed fried food items, nothing to really catch your attention. Our server complained about how her boss over works her and look at the bags under her eyes. We enjoyed our drinks and music. The kids danced and hung out by the stage (since the place was empty). When we asked for the bill the server came back with 1 ticket to which my friend said to her, "please split the bill for the three of us, do you remember what we ordered? To which she replied yes. She then brings the bill split between 3. So my husband says he will pay cash and follows her to the register. He says to her, I have 4 drinks, my one friend has 2 drink and 1 soda, my other friend has 2 drinks and 2 sodas. She replies, just split it three ways, it will be cheaper for you! Not about the money but the principal. She then came back to our table yelling at my husband saying he was rude and didn't appreciate his tone. That we could take our $2 tip and leave....lady first you charged $11 for the mojitos that were $9 then charged an 18% tip for a large party!? I guess when a place is empty and 4 adults walk in with kids at this place is considered a large party. The messed up thing is that the place has potential to be nice, but staff needs to be improved. I only give this place a 4 stars cause I haven’t really try their food selection. If you are looking for a place to listen to good music, with an adult atmosphere, this is your place. They offer buckets of beer, which makes it budget friendly, cocktails are good just don’t get to creative. The service is good, waitresses are very attentive, yes there is only two, but remember this a very mom and pop business, which is why is even better. They do have live bands events, and I’ve seen a salsa and a ballenato band and it was awesome, they do charge at the door when they have live events, $20 per person, some people think is a lot, I would maybe like half price for the women, but so far it’s has been worth the price for me. We need to be a little bit more supportive in our Latino community and help this small businesses. Me and 3 other friends went here at 4pm on a weekday we were only one here walked in didn't see no one for 5 min than we see someone we sit down we give our drink orders my one friend had a alcohol drink and found a fly in it all they did was get him another drink they did give endless nachos which was good refills were on time with drinks but food took more than an hr to come out good thing for endless nachos. I ordered the steak fajitas double rice . the rice amount was good but the steak and peppers were poor for 25 dollars u barely got steak it looked like the microwave bag of fajita mix very thin cut strips of steak and not much portion of it not worth 25 and only given 3 tortillas for it.
