Barbecue here means meat being roasted inside a pit and served to you with a twist of Southern hospitality. I don’t know about you, but for me, service and food go hand in hand. Think about that for a moment. Pause. Ponder. Are you going back to that place that left a bitter taste in your mouth? I am not. My appetite goes where great food is served and outstanding service follows. The wallet will smile and open up like an old trunk ready to serve when requested. [Do] You know why the service here accompanies a greatly seasoned barbecue freshly out of the pit? Excellence in what they do! Meet Jada. [She is] A young, savvy waitress, whose joy, when she comes around the table, cannot be ignored. She is smart, pleasant, polite, carries a loving heart and willingness to get all you need quickly. I mean she does it in some sort of Guinness Book of Records - yet heartwarmingly. When she smiles, no one can possibly be grumpy around this girl. Put that in your food - and digest it! 😉 She will stop a bit, talk to you, and even ask how you have been. You do not get just a meal in this place. You are served with importance, dignity, and respect. You are as important as anyone who walks into those doors hoping to quench their thirst or leave satisfied and hungry no more. Her impeccable understanding of customer service, allied to a delightful presence, will make you feel like an important guest at a five-star Michelin restaurant in any part of the world. Southern hospitality could never have ever found a better ambassador. Those who lack it, should check what she has going on. She knows what she is doing - better yet! [She knows] How she is doing. Go meet her at Bono’s and tell me what...
Read moreI could not be more disappointed about a place.
We've been twice, the first time was an absolute disaster but we decided to give it a second shot. The first time it took almost 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us at the door. There was no one at the hostess stand, girls kept walking by us. We were about to turn around and walk out, when a girl literally just called us over to a table. We sat down and she took our drink order - but 22 minutes exactly later it still wasn't brought to us. Again, we were getting out of our seats to leave when our waitress ran over with drinks, slammed them down, and took our order. When our food was brought out it was very good, but they completely forgot my daughter's order and it took them quite a while to make it and bring it to her - the rest of us were able to finish dinner.
Second time two months later, same issue with the staff. They all seem to be snotty, rude, and the only time they smile is when they hand you the check to try and get a tip. It's really disappointing, because the food is great but it's just not worth it for the way you are treated inside the establishment.
Most owners will contact you if you have an issue or leave a below 5-Star review, but no one does here or seems to care to make things right.

Read moreI had a feeling we might be in trouble when they said "our burgers are great" at a bbq restaurant. Also, for those it may concern, they have a "bar" for seating but they don't serve alcohol which was surprising because the overall atmosphere feels a bit like a sportsbar. Came in with a table of 6 and most of the bbq items (Brisket, sausage, chicken) were cold when they got to the table. They were also underseasoned and I found myself adding sauce to almost every bite, which I'm not a fan of having to do. The meat should be good on its own and the sauce should be optional. The burgers/chicken sandwiches were not cold coming out and they were well received. The sides were great (baked beans and coleslaw) and the garlic bread was nice. Our waitress did a great job, checking on our table often but not bothering us. Overall service was great just wish the food wasn't so boring. Not worth the asking price. I was pretty surprised to see the smoked wings were 18$ for 6 wings and a side, which is 3$ a wing. Hard to recommend for...
