I went here for lunch on Thursday, May 9th at the advice of a friend that said it was the best in town and was raving about it. I love BBQ and I was excited to try this. I didn't bother to read any of the reviews either before going. I ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and two sides of beans for me and a friend and took them back to work. Very generous portions of pork on the sandwiches. The second I started eating I noted the beans and the sauce provided to put on the pork have a tang to them that's different to me and not at all what I'm used to. A very long time ago I ate BBQ in North Carolina with what I think is a cider vinegar based sauce with the same tang to it. I think this place may be using a sauce in the Western/North Carolina style? I don't know. Whatever it is it's in the beans, and was on my sandwich (because I poured the sauce on it too). I ate my sandwich and the beans and thought it was very good although, again, I'm not huge fan of that tang I'm trying to describe - whatever it is. My friend couldn't finish the sandwich or the beans because of that. A third friend asked if he could try it, and said the same thing. "Wow, what's that tang? I'm not sure I like that." Now, I read all the five star reviews and I'm thinking one of two things is going on: I either got weird sandwiches and beans that day or this particular style of BBQ, like any art, may not be my thing. So, I'm gong back to try again. I'll get the pork sandwich with beans again and see if I can't figure this one out and something else as well. Maybe it's just the beans and pork?. I really, really want to...
Read moreIn Stuart for the season, was told if I wanted good bbq... to go to Brother's Food Truck. Perfect recommendation! Tried the brisket, ribs, corn bread, mac 'n cheese, beans, collard greens. **Brisket 4.5/5 It was perfectly tender and moist with a great taste. I think most would say the seasoning was exactly as it should be, can't really argue. But my personal preference is a bit more Texas pepper taste...I like it with a bit of a pepper bite. **Ribs: 5/5 lived them, almost fall off the bone, which I like. The 3 success were great! ** Beans 5/5 smoked beans were great. Enough said. **Mac 'n Cheese 5/5. I'm very skeptical of most m&c, usually not very good, just average. This was a huge, pleasant surprise. **Corn Bread 4/5 It was a jalapeño/cheese cornbread, good... but I expected just a bit more cheese flavor. **Collard Green's 4.5/5 I usually don't eat them because I don't care for them. I was talked into trying them, and they were very flavorful. Still not my go to side, but these were prepared really well, and the taste...
Read moreI dont leave many reviews but after reading the reviews and responses from the owner I felt really inspired to leave my review. First I wanna state I feel like it's pretty petty for someone to leave a bad review for them being sold out of food. I get you may be frustrated but thats just unfair to their business. I love the responses from the owner to the reviews. I feel like he handled them very well and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. So my experience. I have gone here 3 times to get food before I ever actually got anything. Them being sold out, really only made me want it more. Finally made it earlier last Sunday and they only had pulled pork and beans. Not what I initially wanted. But also not crying about it. Well let me tell you that was damn sure the best pulled pork I ever had and the bean are very surprisingly delicious. Ill definitly be going back to try the rest. Thanks Brothers. Keep...
